Written by Adam Beechen

Blue Beetle is all ready to enjoy a relaxing night of monitor duty at the Watchtower, but when chaos erupts across the globe, he realizes he’s the only team member on call. Yikes!

wow, no one responded to this thread! perhaps the covers are turning readers off, but this issue has BEAUTIFUL art inside, and it's quite an entertaining story concerning blue beetle and "monitor duty". i recommend this issue. the interior art looks like the b.t. style, unlike a couple of the other issues in this series.

Funny how Blue Beetle can appear in the comic based on the show, but not actually in the show proper...

I don't suppose Booster Gold is in this at all? I've heard that the two of them are somewhat related...

Oh, and is there a way to order these comics through comic book stores? Or even order older issues that might no longer be in print?

I really enjoyed this issue, the best one I've read so far. What's great about it is its fun, even the downtime before the action kicks in. But when the action does go into gear, it's done beautifully. I love Carlo Barberi's pencils, some of the best work on a DCAU title I've ever seen. He really sells the action well, and there is enough story to it where it doesn't feel entirely like one long fight scene.

I think every comic book series needs an issue like this, and this team really pulled it off with flying colors. Absolutely great action and just right the right care in the writing by Adam Beechman to make it all feel worth while. Surprisingly, I highly recommend it...

Uh Oh.

Now you're getting me interested in this issue.

*sigh*

Might just have to track down a copy then. Any big continuity errors or glitches? Does Steel appear with the red cape? Is Batman clad in his TNBA costume? Is Hawkgirl around and about? Do villains that are supposed to be dead reappear without explanation?

Let me know...and I may just buy this one. Say, is this the artist who did that Booster Gold issue with the card-game intro a few months back?

I wanted to get this issue; the art looked great and it seemed like it would be entertaining. I just didn't. Maybe I'll pick up on my next trip to the comic book store.

I liked it but I wish Booster Gold was in it too. I REALLY want them to team up him and Blue Beetle on JLU if they ever get the rights worked out. I had no clue who the villian was but he was sure crazy.

More JL/JLU villians in JL/JLU comics please! ****.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
