if anything gl found a more beautiful, more powerful, more trustworthy girlfriend and he had ended things with sha so its not cheating. also sha needs a heart in order for it to be broken.

You missed the entire point. Nobody's criticizing John for getting together with Vixen. They're simply pointing out that it might be what broke Shayera's heart. Watching someone you love be happy with another is very hurtful, so it's understandable that it might be heartbreaking for Shayera.

And Shayera didn't cause Earth to nearly blow up.

if she thinks she should be with gl after all of her transgressions, then she's completely selfish, self-absorbed, pathetic and unsympathetic. she betrayed him, the other original 5 and everyone on earth from the very beginning. she was never hawkgirl and those were her words. she was a spy and a tramp since she was involved with the thanagarian commander while being with gl. if her heart gets broken in the process then good! a short-lived exile in the comforts of dr. fate's tower is not enough punishment for hawkwhore. the woman is nuts thinking she can get back together with gl after everything she did.

uh yeah she did. she was a key part in the thanagarian invasion. the whole point was to set up that thingamajig to protect thanagar and blow up earth in the process.
