IS Super Mario Advance 4 Yoshi's Story

Last time I checked Super Mario Advance 4 was Super Mario Bros. 3 (although that might have changed, Super Mario Advance 3 was once Super Mario Bros. 3 but then they switched it to Yoshi's Island).

i just have one question...

what is nintendo waiting for???

super mario bros. 3 is arguably the best mario platforming game of all time. loads better than yoshi's story or even yoshi's island. (personally, i thought yoshi's island was a huge joke. i beat it once and sold it) if nintendo was smart and they wanted a big summer hit for the gba, they'd release super mario bros. 3 as the next up in the advance line

I think they are. The next Mario Advanced Game (Super Mario 4 Advanced) is suppose to be the port of Super Mario Brothers Three. It was always their plan to have this one made after The Yoshi Island/ Super Mario Advanced 3 game, so don't worry about another new came coming out to try and take this game's spot away.

Gamepro has already offical stated that Super Mario Advance 4 will indeed Yoshi Story. We also get a new Metriod Advance game, "Metriod Mission Zero".

Gamepro is also run by a pack of deranged howler monkeys.

However, I've heard the Metroid bit reported elsewhere, so they may be right about SMA4 as well...correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Mario even being in Yoshi's Story...wouldn't be much of a Super "Mario" Advance game, would it?

I think what Nintendo should do for Super Mario Advance 4 is have SMB 1, Lost Levels / SMB for Super Players (according to SMB: DX), and Mario Bros. In America this means SMB 1, SMB 1.5, and SMB 3, and ever popular 4-player romp (not that popular actually, but it's fun). However in Japan it's Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3 all on one game. Which would be a fantastic thing to port over. It would make sense because SMB 1 and SMB 2 (jp) are pretty small and could fit with SMB 3. It would basically be Super Mario All-Stars (the game they should have ported for SMA 1, but nooo they had to make just SMB 2 / SMB USA... MORONS!) without SMB 2 / SMB USA. Which would be fine since the only game missing is out in the series already. I'd certainly buy SMB 3 alone, but this would really sweeten the deal.

3 fantastic Mario games and the usual 4 player game all in one pack. I'm sure it would sell incredibly well. SMB 1 and SMB 3 are two of the greatest and most satisfiying games ever and there would be really no reason not to put in Lost Levels / SMB 2. This game would be good times...

EDIT: This is what I get for skimming.

Anyways, SMB2 and SMB USA are the same thing. SMB2 was actually a redone version of a Famicom game called Doki Doki Panic with Mario characters put in.

The REAL SMB2 is the Lost Levels...which I can never get past the final castle the second time through.

He already knows about Super Mario All-Stars, did you ignore this part of his message?

what was such a joke about it? the fact that it was extremely long and had countless secrets? The fact that it's graphics were outstanding for its time, and still look great today. Is it the catchy music? Is it the artistic coloring book feel? The innovative moves and fun transformations? Or is it that it was hailed as the greatest sidescrolling platformer of all time? It's ok to say you don't like a game, but when you call a game that broke huge boundries a joke...

Yoshi's Story is too big to compress down into a GameBoy without downgrading the game in a large way. It would suck worse than it did on the N64.

Later.

Sometime before the GBA was released, the recreated an entire level without any problems.

Not as good as SMB 1, 2, and 3 in one pack, but it's good enough to validate a purchase!

No surprise that once again, Gamepro has been proven wrong.

SMB3's gonna be sweet, though.

Actually it comes out in the fall at this point. So put it on your fall list (I know you have one... don't we all?)

honestly, would it be too hard to make a semi-perfect Super Mario All-Stars port? I mean really, it was a ###### SNES game. even allstars with SMW wouldn't be all that hard. They've ported thing much bigger (I think).

I read somewhere that GBA games have the storage space of N64 games, so space isn't the issue.

Oh yes...my favorite Nintendo game from my youth, now in a handheld. Life is sweet.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
