THIS. There needs to be a DEFINITELY new way of doing things. Either laws to help nurture kids shows, or a genuinely groundbreakingly new way of doing things.
Maybe one thing that kid's animation could do is get rid of the Hay's Code like rules the medium has. Children's literature has no such restrictions. Take 1977's Bridge to Terabithia for example. Cartoon Network could not create a faithful adaptation without breaking the major taboos of children's cartoons. It contained the words "damn" and "hell." It has death. It discusses religion and other sensitive topics. Kids are probably abandoning kids cartoons because they are so sanitized. With how permissive parents are (when I was at the Demon Slayer movie, there were loads of toddlers), the rules make less and less sense in the modern day. In Japan, Demon Slayer is for kids. Granted, maybe American cartoons going full Demon Slayer is a bit too extreme, but maybe kids' cartoons getting a little edgier is okay. Cartoon Network used to push boundaries with Naruto, Regular Show, and Total Drama Island. Maybe it's time to push boundaries again.
Yeah, the last time they pushed the boundaries in 2010, the international feeds complained and the US team was urged to make a second version of Regular Show. Now in 2025? I have high hopes for that, even though they're remote
Literally this.I've been saying for years that linear could still be viable in our modern era. But making it less accessible for the average joe contributed to its downfall. Maybe some better regulation for media and entertainment could have still helped CN and other channels stay relevant.
However, I do agree with some of the posts here. The heads at CN should have done a better job of adapting to modern times. Disney has been a good example of this, and they are still pumping out new shows every few months. In the end, we just have to wait and see what happens. I still think there is some hope to come, but it's probably going to come once we see media and entertainment crash
So what . Do they want to still make cartoons on that studio right now or not doing it anymore since ot will get particly removed or erased by the companyBesides, Cartoon Network Studios seems to still be active and made a non-Adult Swim project, four shorts produced for the autism group Exceptional Minds. They were produced (and likely shown in private) last year which means that not all hope is lost.
In any case, the static CN Studios logo at the end has no WBD byline.
I think they still have to make cartoons, but their ideas are frozen by corporate meddling. So what . Do they want to still make cartoons on that studio right now or not doing it anymore since ot will get particly removed or erased by the company
Adult swim makes mush more shows than what is like in CN Right now since they're wayyy loo lagging to air new showsI honestly think WB lied about CNS will still be a label for original shows and that was 3 years ago
Unless there’s stuff in development but highly doubt it giving the industry in the last 3 years or so and WB is planning to separate the cable networks or worse get bought out yet again.
Yeah , honestly I have heard of cartoon cartoons in a few months ago but however because this one was never released then it remains lost right nowI think they still have to make cartoons, but their ideas are frozen by corporate meddling.
The recent Cartoon Cartoons program had a few shorts released but unlike What-a-Cartoon and The Big Pick (and the forgotten Cartoonstitute), none of the shorts has been picked up for a full series. Even if it was picked up, it would get one measly season with little to no promotion on linear and streaming.
That's because Adult Swim is more profitable.Adult swim makes mush more shows than what is like in CN Right now since they're wayyy loo lagging to air new shows
But CN In usa doesnt get profitable . Like howThat's because Adult Swim is more profitable.
CNS is making SuperMagic Mutant Academy and Heist Safari, both relatively original shows.I honestly think WB lied about CNS will still be a label for original shows and that was 3 years ago

So. That's just for both adult swim shows . But what about for cartoon network right nowCNS is making SuperMagic Mutant Academy and Heist Safari, both relatively original shows.
At least HBO Max is a solution to that problem. And Adult Swim's status in certain legislations makes it hard for the shows to be spread around the world.
They actually do put a lot more effort into putting Cartoon Network stuff on non-U.S. versions of HBO Max (and it's no longer merely called "Max" anymore!) compared to the U.S. one. Trust me.I haven't been too caught up with every single thing that has been going on with Cartoon Network, although most things I've heard are rather depressing. That said, given the climate and how everything is moving to streaming, for me it feels strange that Cartoon Network hasn't done so well on Max given that they have so much content--new and old, legacy or not. And to hear that many cartoons are being removed from Max, the main channel is geared towards adults now, and every other news, it makes me wonder what their end goal is.
I still hope there will be licensing to Tubi, like what they did to Looney TunesThey actually do put a lot more effort into putting Cartoon Network stuff on non-U.S. versions of HBO Max (and it's no longer merely called "Max" anymore!) compared to the U.S. one. Trust me.
Wait, did it have a Dutch dub? : oInfinity Train was briefly on HBO Max in Europe for a few months in 2022, complete with dubbing in many languages. It also briefly aired on (or was at the very least supposed to air on) Cartoon Network France as well.
It got quickly removed, however.
Wait, did it have a Portuguese dub? : oWait, did it have a Dutch dub? : o

Yes, it did really have dubs in both languages.Wait, did it have a Portuguese dub? : o
I wasn't aware of that, when I was seeing the US drama unfold I did not pay attention to the status of CN shows in the European services
