You remember Friday Night Nicktoons, right? It was the Nickelodeon version of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays.

Well, recently, I was surprised to learn that Friday Night Nicktoons only lasted from 2002 to 2004. Why wasn't it as successful as Cartoon Cartoon Fridays? It's not like Nickelodeon's lineup at the time was bad or anything. They had Spongebob, Fairly OddParents, Chalkzone, and My Life as a Teenage Robot, among others. Was Cartoon Cartoon Fridays really that much better?

I have two theories. First off, maybe older Nick fans were missing Snick and saw this as a cheap imitation. Secondly, CCF had character hosts that made it stand out.

Yes I remember Friday Night Nicktoons. It ran From September 2002 to December 2004. For Summer 2004, it became Prime Time Nicktoons.
