What Disney shows are your favorites and why? I wanted to make this thread cause Disney is probably my favorite company of all time with Warner Bros. being a close second and I love most of what they put out (Key word is most. I don't really care for stuff like Mighty Ducks and Chicken Little). Anyways, here they are

Classic Disney Cartoons: Love all the iconic characters like Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, and the animation is beautiful, as well as the music and they were pretty funny too. My favorite characters were Chip 'n Dale

DuckTales: The old one had fantastic adventures, great animation, and some great characters like Magica De Spell, Scrooge, and Launchpad. The new one has improved characters of Huey, Duey, and Louie, as well as Webby. The fact that it seems like Donald is going to be in it more is awesome and I like the mystery that's currently going on in the show

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: This is a classic. The characters are lovable, the humor is great, and the lessons are awesome. Piglet was always my favorite cause I love pigs

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: Probably my favorite Disney show ever. Seeing Chip 'n Dale get their own show was awesome and all the characters were amazing and adorable. The show also had great lessons like don't join a cult. They can be bad and run by manipulative people who just want money. As long as you know where you belong, that's what's important.

TaleSpin: This show had some really exciting adventures and the dynamic between the characters were awesome. My favorite characters are Kit because I love his cloudsurfing and Don Karnage cause he's so funny and cool.

Goof Troop: While it is very 90s with the character of Max, I really enjoyed the comedy, Pete's family was hilarious, I loved Goofy, and I really liked the relationship of Goofy and Max. A Goofy Movie was also a great movie as well

Aladdin: Aladdin is one of my all time favorite Disney movies and seeing a show of it was amazing. I loved seeing these characters in an 86 episode series and Iago was hilarious. I also enjoyed The Genie, even though I think Robin Williams did a better job as The Genie than Dan Castelleneta. It also ended nicely with Aladdin 3, one of the few really good Direct to Video Disney movies.

Timon and Pumbaa: I love The Lion King and Timon and Pumbaa are my favorite characters from the movie, so this show was right up my ally. The slapstick was amazing and the banter between the characters is gold just like the movie.

Jungle Cubs: This show is awesome and very underrated. The show has cliched plots, but they are done well. The characters were adorable and the songs and lessons were great.

101 Dalmatians: The Series: Now, this show was really adorable. The adventures were cliched, yet fun, Cruella was awesome, and Cadpig was a great character! Not only that, but it also had some great lessons.

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: Toy Story is my all time favorite CGI Movie, so this show was up my ally. Seeing Buzz Lightyear in an animated series was amazing and the characters, stories, and action was great.

House of Mouse: Best revival ever! It paid tribute to the Classic Disney Cartoons with the 7 minute cartoons and the characters were as great as always. Loved the humor and the setting was brilliant. Loved seeing all these characters in one theater and the plots were great.

Phineas and Ferb: This was the first Disney cartoon I enjoyed since House of Mouse actually. The humor was great, the characters were likable, and the stuff the brothers did on their Summer Vacation was amazing. Not to mention the music was awesome. It was very repetitive, but still an enjoyable show

Gravity Falls: Fantastic humor, a fantastic send off, great characters, a complex and interesting mystery, and animation that is thrilling to watch. What more could you want?

Wander Over Yonder: One of the wackiest cartoons made in this decade. The animation is stunning and wacky, the humor is classic, and the characters are hilarious and amazing. It's such a shame the show ended on a cliffhanger. Disney really treated this show unfairly and cancelled it before its time. Craig wanted to continue working on it. It really deserves a Season 3.

Those are my favorites. I also love Adventures in Wonderland, Bear in the Big Blue House, Sing Me a Story With Belle, and Out of the Box, but those were Live Action shows. Still, they were the only Disney live action shows I enjoyed.

I think my favorite is Pepper Ann. I have fond memories of watching it during dinner when we first got Toon Disney. I liked how the took the typical slice of life cliches and made them funny. It is very underrated IMO. Other shows I like:

Duck Tales: both the oringinal and the reboot. The original is laced with so much nostalgia for me. It was my life’s goal to record every episode. The reboot is the perfect example of how to do a reboot right.

Gravity Falls: I loved the mystery the show had to it. I know I’m in the minority but I liked season one better than season two.

New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: Another show that is laced with nostalgia. It is totally timeless to me.

In alphabetical order.

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: I am not much of a sci-fi fan, but I love the wacky spin on it. It's like Guardians of the Galaxy, but better. The characters are so fun.

Gargoyles: I also like W.I.T.C.H. and Young Justice so it shouldn't be a surprise that Gargoyles is on my list. Xanatos, you are an awesome villain. I am still in season 1 and I hope to get to know more about Elisa.

Gravity Falls: Basically what others have said already. I don't think it's THE best show ever, but it could be funny at times and several episodes surprised me.

Hercules: This isn't the best show ever, but there is so much more Greek mythology to be told than just the movie and overall the stories are nice to watch. It is the only series truely based on a Disney movie adaption that I thought was executed well, so that's why I think it deserves on this list.

Kim Possible: I was a huge KP fan. It is wonderful how they combine so many clichés and make them fun. I don't think many writer teams are capable of handling all these clichés without ruining the show.

Mickey Mouse shorts: One of the very few slapstick cartoons that makes me laugh out loud at times. (Others: old Daffy Duck, Shaun the Sheep) I love how they managed to make Mickey interesting!

Milo Murphy's Law: This is a much improved version of Phineas and Ferb. I like the interactions between the characters SO much. It's a joy to see them together.

The alphabet stops at M, apparantly :D

Big Hero 6?
Haven't seen it, but it looks awesome.

I'll explain these later, but in no particular order.

House of Mouse

American Dragon Jake Long

Recess

Kim Possible

Timon & Pumbaa

The Proud Family

DuckTales

Aladdin (animated TV series)

Phineas & Ferb

Gargoyles

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Gargoyles. For obvious reasons. It doesn't hold up as well as TaleSpin or Gummi Bears, but if Batman: The Animated Series did not exist, I would consider it the definitive action cartoon of the 1990's. None of the subpar comic book continuations by Weisman have done the franchise justice. Its only fault is that the animation for a large part of it was quite underwhelming. If these exact scripts were done using today's animation techniques, I'd probably consider it the greatest action cartoon ever (well, maybe next to JLU).

TaleSpin: As I said, it holds up surprisingly well. The 1930's setting gives it a timeless feel. It is also probably the most unlikely Disney cartoon ever greenlit. A show using animals characters from a B-rate Disney film in different human-esque roles? The main protagonist is an adult whose potential love interest is a single mom businesswoman? It's set in the 1930's and is about airplanes and aerial skyjinks? I am less surprised something this special became a hit, and more surprised that it was allowed to be made in the first place.

Gummi Bears: Ditto. Also considered by Greg Weisman to be the Gargoyles precursor, and I can totally see the influences. Frankly, it holds up better than Gargoyles, probably because it feels more self-contained, and thus the viewer wasn't left wanting more by the end.

Tangled: The Series. Probably the best Disney TV cartoon ever done in the Disney style (I've never seen Gravity Falls, which I hear was amazing, but done in its own style). The animation, voice work, and especially the tightly plotted scripts and cinematically boarded action sequences, make this the best Disney TV project of all time.

DuckTales (2017): Puts the boring 80's cartoon to shame. Carl Barks and Don Rosa comics done RIGHT for the first time ever. There is also enough taken from the original series to keep fans of the old show happy. Finally, Donald Duck is a central cast member on the Duck adventures, as he should have been all along. Kids in 2017 are SO lucky. I'm jealous.

Big Hero 6: Only one episode has aired, and I'm already hooked. The animation style is so good, I predict within a few weeks I'll think these specific characters look odd in CGI. As much as I just talked up Tangled: The Series, the character designs there will probably never make me feel that way about that movie. But the stylized, comic book 2-D designs for this show are tight. and for some reason feel even more colorful than the movie, which was pretty much a big ball of nonstop Tokyo Neo sunshine.

Obvious choices (Mostly what's on right now, anyway...But why not!):

Tangled: TAS (so far, of course - especially thanks to the later episodes getting some rather good storytelling established for itself.)

Gravity Falls (especially S2 - tough act to compete with for anyone, honestly.)

Big Hero 6 (even though were 1-2 episode(s) in, I sense a winner here; mainly because MoA isn't working on it, anyway. Here's hoping things keep on looking up from here.)

Milo Murphy's Law (Much more engaging than its predecessor and not weighed down completely by repetition - which is why it succeeds, despite a silly-sounding premise on paper.)

DuckTales (2017) (I don't need to explain myself too much on this one, honestly.)

Unpopular opinions aside: While not as completely awesome as what's above these choices, I liked these examples far more than I ever could stuff like Star Vs., Wander Over Yonder, or The 7D, honestly...

Penn Zero: PTH (a much more creative and funny show than what's considered popular on the internet, IMHO - even it tried a little too hard to be funny at first - definitely got better once S2 came around. Definitely an overlooked gem for me, personally - at least it also got a proper and satisfying ending, as well, which I'm more than glad happened.)

Pickle & Peanut (simply put, my favorite comedy of errors any Disney Channel has ever put out. It's stupid, ugly, and quite bad; however, it's in all the right ways just enough to make it fun to watch when it's not being too stupid for its own good.)

Future - Worm! (while it's simply screams a more child-friendly version of Rick & Morty, that's not a bad thing, IMHO, especially once it really gets going past its early episodes.)

Right Now Kapow! (this show is kinda in the same league as P&P for me, but once it got really going, became something I'm sorry didn't get another season to keep on improving. Despite it's ugly appearance, I did laugh a lot harder at what it was doing than I expected to.)

  • New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Recess
  • Gravity Falls
  • Lion Guard
  • Big City Greens
  • Wander over Yonder
I liked Kim Possible but I wasn’t big into it. I stopped watching it by 2005.

Another favourite Disney animated show of me is American Dragon: Jake Long.

My (current gen) List is pretty much the same, but to be more accurate (and without saying too much:

* Tangled: TAS

* Big Hero 6: TAS

* Gravity Falls (emphasis on S2 for really ramping up the character development)

* Mickey Mouse Shorts (2013)

* Ducktales (2017) (also check out Legend of the 3 Caballeros, if you can find it - that's something that needed a S2 and isn't getting one, unfortunately.)

* Wander Over Yonder (emphasis on S1, but some episodes from S2 were actually funny)

* Penn Zero: PTH (emphasis on S2 for being much funnier)

* Big City Greens (forget the haters - this show does know deep down how to actually funny & endearing.)

* Milo Murphy's Law (Simply for being less repetitive than P&F was for me - Perry & Doofenschrmitz are still the best thing to watch that particular show for.)

Now I'm just hoping to add 101 Dalmatian Street, Amphibia and The Owl House to that list, someday; hopefully they'll be more my cup of tea than Star Vs. unfortunately failed to be...

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
