This is the season finale of Drawn Together, which airs tonight. Who is going to be the winner of Drawn Together, and win the big prize no one knew existed?

As always, post pre-episode and post-episode thoughts here.

I'm willing to offer two predictions:

A. The Jewish producer's ****
B. It's all a big hoax and no one actually wins

TV-MA-LS?! Dayum.

thats a lot of kim and park combinations

"DT Fun Fact: Drawn Together is the only show gayer than Six Feet Under."

This episode is really funny already.

DT Fun Fact: Most of the fun facts really aren't that fun.

Yeah so far pretty good. I always fear clip shows, but most shows actually know how to do them well (Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd n Eddy, South Park, Simpsons). But then again they're the ones that remember that to make a good clip show you actually need to put a TWIST on scenes. DT's doing that pretty well.

...They're right,
the viewer
is the true winner!

That opposite day sketch seemed to have more to it than when it was originally broadcast.

Did they add anything or am I just not remembering?

It was a fun clipshow but was this the season finale? kind of lacking for that, even with the "you the winner" ending. but as a clipshow it was definately fun. Jude Fudge was very fun, that is why i wish they did eventually change casts.

I wasn't able to catch last weeks episode though and haven't seen it re-ran either...hope i see it soon.

I hope the Season 2 dvd fixes a few things, while i really liked the presentation and it being uncensored but the price was way too much for the few episodes, the commentaries seemed like they were trying too hard, i can understand one of them being 'wacky' but all of them? i wish i had actually learned about the show and hidden gags instead of non-funny nonsense, even if that is the "irony".

I'm taking it this is an extended version of the "Opposite Day" bit, with part of the bit being cut from the original episode due to time reasons.

ha, no wonder that seemed new to me

I liked the drawings of Wooldor in that sequence. There's just something about this character I love. I know I say that every week. I'm glad he's gotten used more.

It may have crude but Foxxy and Clara's song from the very first episode was GOLD.

Did anyone else watch this with closed captioning on? I noticed that quite a bit of the lines were different. Like when the host was talking to Wooldor, when he said "Wooldor, your a wacky little guy", the captioning said "Wooldor, you hit pueberty recently". and "You've been watched by 12,000 viewers (or wahtever)" was "You became a man in front of 12,000 viewers"

"See you in October" huh?

Man I can't stand CC and the 6 months between seasons.

Although at the rate FOX is going it wont be long before we're waiting 6 months between Simpsons seasons.

This episode was such a crack-up:

- "I'm in the Witness Protection Program!"

- DT Fun Fact: 'The character of Toot is based on your mother.'

- the racism montage

- 'Most Phone Moment'; not just the moment, but this title

- "Opposite day!"; it's been a while since I've seen the episode, but I just figured that it was when they came back from commercials. Anyway, it was good. ("Is this opposite day or dramatic music sting day?!" "Neither!")

- DTFF: 'Drawn Together is better than you think'. So very true.

I was a bit disappointed. The new footage was funny, as were the "fun facts", but it probably would have been better if the clips were fabricated in some way.. such as taking the existing clips and changing them in some way (giving everybody mustaches or changing the dialog a bit or something weird like that) or to use new clips we haven't seen entirely and just act like we're suppose to have seen them.

Not the best clip show ever, but not the worst either.

I agree, but there was no living up to last season's finale, that was pretty good. The real treat in this episode was the audience, trying to pick out who you knew and what episode they were from.

It was okay. The ending was a little predictable, but despite being a clip show, there were still plenty of laughs.

I agree. I think it would've been better had they just made up entirely new clips.

In any case, this closes out a very sub-par season.

I don't think you understand the point of a clip show from a production standpoint. The main reason for doing a clip show is to save money for the production and bring down the average cost of the episodes. The clip show only had five minutes of new animation vs. 22.5 minutes of new animation for the average show (which is then edited down to about 20 minutes for air).

If the show had used all original / brand new clips it wouldn't have helped us bring down the budget. And changing the clips would also cost too much money to make it viable. What we tried to do instead was find other ways (read cheaper ways) to enhance the clip show. The DT Fun Facts, the clip's "air dates" and the Viewers choice awards are a few examples. And in one or two instances we used extended clips with footage that hadn't aired. Also, as a "treat" for fans of the show, we populated the "studio audience" with all sorts of guest stars and cameos from previous episodes.

All in all, I thought it was a pretty funhy show with good original moments and clips of some of our funniest/weirdest moments cut together in an interesting way. I'm sorry you found it disappointing.

Don't feel bad, Bill. The fact of the matter is that no one likes clip shows at all. If you meet anyone that actually says they like clip shows then they must be lying through their teeth.

However, you guys did really well with this clip show. The topics, jokes, and extras were a huge bonus. 95% of all clip shows I've watched have been no more than episode recaps with character naration. IMO, you guys did a great job with it.

As an episode, I'd give it a 5/10. For a clip show, I'd give it an 8/10.
