"Hallmark is partnering with Crayola Studios to make a new Rainbow Brite feature film and TV series. The announcement was made today, during a year that marks the 40th anniversary of the franchise, which debuted in 1984.

Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher at Original Film are developing the movie. Among other projects, Moritz and Ascher have previously done the live action Sonic the Hedgehog movies. “We’re so excited to partner with Crayola Studios and Hallmark on Rainbow Brite and can’t wait to bring an exciting new franchise to audiences worldwide,” said Moritz."

Wow, Rainbow Brite is coming back with a series and a movie O_o?

I was going to wonder if it's the first reboot but I feel as though I remember some web thing from years back.

Pleasantly surprised by how close it looks to the original style (at least based off this single image!)

Yes, it looks like a straightforward remake or revival, unlike the previous show that was released on what was then called Feeln.

Hopefully this show will be a good one...

(reads first post again)

The guys who made the live action Sonic movies? Okay, now I'm concerned. Long story short, I'm hoping this won't be another "famous-fictional-character-trapped-in-the-'real-world'" story, and I'm going to say it: I'm hoping that no "groan"...I mean, "grown-ups" are involved, like in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City (something that nearly ruined the Barbie movie/TV franchise, but anyway...). After all, not everything has to be hyper-"realistic" (quotes, because realistic is vague word)...

If I'm not mistaken, this will be Rainbow Brite's 3rd attempt at a relaunch.

I'm guessing that Rainbow's white sprite companion will be going by his new name Mr. Glitter rather than his original name Twink, which is a questionable term on the internet.

I have no expectations for this. Although , a little more "color" among the Color Kids might be nice. There are 7 Color Kids (1 for each color of the spectrum), and 6 of them are Caucasian. Perhaps this new iteration could rectify that.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Nicktoons in the US has recently aired something that no one expected: an AI generated ad for an overpriced plush toy.
Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
Woah yeah today is my Birthday!
