It's 10:47pm EST here. Yep, another New Year's Eve with nothing to do. And there's not much tonight to do in downtown Raleigh, since most of the big shows are sold out. All that's left is - ugh - the acorn drop at midnight.

I know, it is really ridiculous to have a giant acorn drop in downtown. Why can't we have a ball of our own anyway?
