"Community" Season Two Talkback (Spoilers)

"A Fist Full of Paintballs"

"Stop trying to fluster me with handsomeness—you're creepy."

I loved this episode. I've kept it on the DVR all week and have watched it probably half a dozen times. I love the western feel and the freeze frame intros of most of the characters. Pierce and Fort Hawthorne was hilarious.

Speaking of Pierce, has he really ever done the 'Jeff, you're gay' thing before? It felt like a recurring thing with the way it was presented here, but it didn't seem familiar to me. He was a jerk here generally, but he did get the Black Rider (though I think he'll have trouble defending himself with that shotgun for too long without extra ammo).

"Okay, Black Rider, now let's see who's attractive."
"Dude, you have a problem."

I loved Josh Holloway as the Black Rider. Jeff's reaction to his handsomeness and how hardcore he was with the paintball shotguns and the ammo belts across his chest was awesome.

Chang betraying everyone was great, but he is most definitely out. ;)

I don't wish to spoil it for those who didn't watch it, but the teaser part two was hilarious.

"Resistance is as pointless as your degrees."

"For a Few Paintballs More" Season Finale May 12, 2011

Pierce took out The Black Rider, but Pistol Patty has dispatched a team of white-clad commandos who immediately took out Chang with a barrage of paintball machine gun fire. Who will survive on the season finale of Community?

"For a Few Paintballs More" - Season Finale
Thursday, May 12, 2011 @ 8 p.m. ET/7 CT on NBC
The paintball wars escalate in this hilarious season finale!

Loved it, of course. I was a bit worried that the Star Wars parody would seem overdone, but they used it responsibly. I was happy to see that the Abed/Annie pairing has appeared since the actors seemed to have a good relationship and they seemed like they'd be interesting. Of course, Abed can only be Han for so long.

That said, I liked how everything from the season including such minutia as Troy's plumbing skills paid off in the finale. No show knows how to do these type of things better right now than Community.

I think I noticed just how attached I had become to this show when I realized I could recognize it was Pierce when he made a mother joke. That was excellent suspense right there. The ending was a bit of a downer and it'll be interesting to see where it goes from there.

Of course, Magnitude was hilarious.

"First, Pop pop. Second..."

I'm with Abed: how could they possibly top this finale?

EDIT:

Holy spit! Star-Burns is played by the creator of Moral Orel. How am I just finding that out?

Am I the only one who did the double take when the dude from Cougar Town was just randomly in the audience at the end.

"For a Few Paintballs More"

"In other words, it seems we've left the western motif and entering more of a Star Wars scenario. ...I know, I wish it happened sooner too."

Wow, this was even more amazing that part 1! (Though it is tough to pick one over the other.) Abed making sure he got the Han Solo role was great. Dean Spreck and City College being behind the entire thing was a rather ridiculous plan, but was quite entertaining.

"I don't step up to being leader, Troy. I reluctantly accept it when it's thrust upon me."

I loved Jeff's assessment of his role in the group and at the school. His and Troy's plans worked great together and I don't think just one of the two of them would have gotten it done.

"See you at Denny's?"
"Denny's is for winners."

The charge on the Gatling gun nearly failed (Leonard was a lot of fun here). It was nice to see Pierce be the hero. I was very surprised when he first really opened up to the group and then walked out and didn't come back. Can next season start tomorrow?

I thought that would be the end, but the credits scene with Abed and the janitor (Jerry Minor!) was hilarious. He will not be having a fun summer.

Whatever that poor guy gets paid is not enough. It makes me wonder if the dean's ever heard of laser tag though.

You know what would be epic? A Laser Tag episode featuring Neil Patrick Harris. (anybody here watch HIMYM?)

Looks like turnabout is fair play:

'Community' actor Danny Pudi visits Cougar Town

The link also includes a shot of his cameo.

I must admit that I started watching Cougar Town this year, once I saw that Ken Jenkins was playing Jules' (Courtney Cox) dad.

It was fun to see Abed in the background of said scene, and for those Scrubs fans, Ted has a minor role and references a character or two from the Scrubs universe.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
