CN Schedule Updates

I understood when you said that it was rock bottom but then you said you still stand by them. Sometimes you have to stop supporting someone for them to see what they're doing wrong.
That's because too many people have literally lost all their faith in the company as a whole solely because of a schedule, despite it only being one of multiple channels they use.

I most definitely see where you're coming from with the bolded part. But I don't want to completely shoot down their On Demand and genuinely great shows like OK KO just because of a separate portion. I think the real thing that we should stop supporting is the live feed; if anything, I think being a legitimate caring fan may give them more reason to listen to my criticism and complaints, since it would give off the impression I am much more concerned for them than blindly triggered.

I totally get what you're saying and you have a right to like the shows. What I was saying is that sometimes you have to do the thing you hate the most which is complaining to them.

Which I probably will do, and maybe everyone else who is annoyed by this should too.

But the important thing is to do so in a constructive and considerate manner. I know people almost definitely have tried to complain to them about this before, but knowing how Twitter and Tumblr reacts, the vast majority of them were likely rude and overblown, which no executive in their right mind would listen to.

You keep saying "How stupid the show really is" as if people shouldn't objectively like it.

And honestly, yeah the show is stupid - but sometimes, it's stupid in a good way.
i can only assume that its liked ironically and yeah the show is pretty stupid and not in a so bad its good way but more so an irritable way. so really beyond a few decent episodes its not gonna hold up well at all. History will not look back kindly on TTG.

The main schedule doesn't default to TTG as much as it did in 2015 to my knowledge; the marathons are just more frequent than they were then.

To be clear to everyone here, I do think this marathon is a pretty terrible idea and a lot of the backlash it's getting is definitely justified to a degree. It's pretty head-scratching at best and ratings suicide at worst.

It's when people go overboard claiming it's the literal worst thing ever that drives me nuts. It's one thing to criticize, it's another to get triggered and fumed beyond any reasonable measure when the network actively offers easy ways out anyway. I haven't seen CN's live feed at all in well over a month, so this doesn't really affect me in the slightest. Plus, who is really going to watch the network more than a hour at a time during the holiday season?
Not one show on CN has ever aired as frequently as TTG. Not even Johnny Test aired this much. Honestly when it came to other shows back before TTG showed up, they only had marathons for particular occasions. And to make this clear to you to make sure it goes through to you. Just because the schedule isnt giving you physical pain doesnt make this any less disastrous. Saying "its not the worst thing ever" is in no way an excuse for this travesty. this isnt stuff you can just shrug off and act as if "its no big deal". This will indeed do legit harm for the network as a whole if they keep this up. Its pretty much the equivalent to being addidcted to drugs instead of seeing family members(CN fans) for help on how to improve their lives). If you actually did care about the network you would be just as concerned as everyone else because they dont want to see the network fail. They want it to improve and saying to "just suck it up and go to the app" is not the answer at all as many people still prefer cable so its asinine to act like people are overreacting. Having valid complaints that need to be addressed doesnt equate to "pure hate" as you put it. Try looking at it from their perspective for those who were looking forward to the traditional holiday specials they would usually air. If anything is driving me nuts its you thats doesnt to even have any remorse for the network if you're gonna constantly complain about the people complaining about the tv schedule. You yourself are aware of the problems with the scheduling yet we arent allowed to voice our concerns? Talk about contradicting

You act like any kid that likes TTG will eventually grow out of it likes it some filthy habit. You don't seem to realize that this show has actual fans that will continue to like it. And that's ok. People can like this show and they have every right to. I do and I think it's a fun little show that I should watch more often.
its the best description honestly. Im not saying they arent allowed to like it but Its already shown that kids are getting sick of the show already evolving tastes. Even those that do like the show cant deny its done more harm pandering than good.

Hopefully, like any other company these days ignoring its critics and fans, they will learn a lesson or two and next Christmas we won't be discussing this again because the show will be no more - or at least won't be to such a degree.
i pray for when that time comes and hopefully realize that fans actually want new and creative quality content for the channel and not low quality reboots that are soulless cashins at best

Wow, you're doing it again. You really don't want to believe that anyone could actually like the show for what it is, do you? I like it. And not in an ironic way. I like it because it makes me laugh. Its that simple. And I'm going to assume I'm not the only one. And in ten years there could be lots of people who look back on this show and say "I remember TTG, it was pretty good." Just like people look back and say stuff like that for things like Ren and Stimpy (a show I think is pretty bad) now.

Just accept that unironic fans of the show exist and leave it at that. Whether or not they will like it in the future doesn't matter for now. Your feelings toward the show aren't the same as everyone else's, nor does it have to be. I'm not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp.

If you actually looked at what I did post today, you'll note that I do constantly express genuine concern for the network, have hope this will be disastrous to the point where they'd have to break it midway through, and even encouraged people to send them constructive criticism in letters or e-mail.

And also, when I refer to "pure hate", I'm not referring to everyone who's criticizing them (because some of those people, like the majority of users here, do bring up good arguments) - I'm referring to those who are being straight-up unreasonable like outright demand they cancel TTG right then and there, asking Christina Miller to die in a hole, or basically saying the entire company is ruined because of what is essentially just a portion of what they do, no matter how terrible it actually gets.

Yes, the schedule is indeed terrible and merits criticism and even some complaining to the network. But there are definitely a lot of people who seem to literally think the live schedule is all that matter; no matter how you slice it, it really isn't. Maybe I did underestimate it's importance in the past, but it's still not all CN has to speak of.

It's obvious that even if TTG never did exist, they would've done the exact same thing to a different show put in a similar position. So, I don't think TTG is even to blame for this.

I gotta know, what is your proof that kids are getting sick of TTG? And please don't say ratings because some of the ratings for recent episodes are just as good if not better than ratings for episodes in seasons 1 or 2.

id reply to this but id say just look back at the previous post for this

so who exactly is saying in these comments is saying that TTG should be canceled? (although it is the best option now at this point as ratings have plummeted and majority of people obviously despise it)? Who exactly is saying that miller needs to die? miller should be fired for sure but how many sick people do you really think want miller to die beyond some ignorant minority? since it feels like you're pulling this from thin air. Again, you need to quit generalizing people who have concerns are like this. And how can you assume people havent sent any constructive tweets or emails?
And by the rate CN is going, the network will indeed perish if current management keeps up with these incompetent business practices

uh huh yet its never happened adventure time, nor regular show so its pretty clear the network was a lot more competent before TTG showed up

perhaps you need proper research in the matter because the ratings were in no way as high as they were earlier which is pretty much what happens when you span a show for years and many people have already commented on dropping the show aknowledging how bothersome its been especially for the network

Wow. CN sure did outdone themselves.
You all know what I'll be doing.

Look, I didn't say the ratings were as consistent as they once were, but that some episodes still pull in good ratings. Like the Night Begins to Shine. The point is you can't say kids are getting sick of it just because it's not pulling in the same numbers it once did. You'd have to say the same thing about Steven Universe and Gumball too. Most show's ratings drop over time. The fact it can still get good numbers for some new episodes proves somebody still likes it.

not really especially compared to adventure time and regular show"s ratings that actually beat out TTG so it makes no sense why CN keeps paying attention to it instead of those shows that have quality. The reason other shows even have declining ratings is because of how CN constantly neglects them and puts no effort into advertising them. Plenty of shows have shown to still have good ratings throughout its run if given the proper attention. This of course caused the downfall of TTG's ratings as people are sick of the show to the point of avoiding the channel all together

My Dish EPG was wrong. It didn't showed the Gumball marathon on Saturday, just a corrupted variety day. Seems like Dish customers were dropping if the EPG wasn't operated by Zap2It/Tribune. The TTG! marathon showed on Sunday and Monday.

^Give it time they will likely update the schedule soon.

So I found out that next week, all CN will show is Teen Titans GO!. For the whole week.

No other feed in the entire world could do such a thing.

Well, guess I'll keep the TV off and watch stuff on the app, then. That's where CN is excelling at as of late, anyway - I just wish they knew that, too. That little bit more, anyway.

FXX in the US had an every Simpsons marathon over a year ago. TTG is still put to shame by that. Lack of episodes + [as] means TTG marathon loses (to Simpsons at least) :P

better yet just go to Disney XD where they actually understand the basics of variety. And the app if anything is actually failing. their cable would actually improved if they cared to put more effort

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
