Simple question, how do you feel about clowns? As in the comic circus, carnival kind with weird hair, overly large shoes, squirty flower buttonholes and a penchance for producing inflated dog-balloons and traumatising little kids.
Do their ... ahem ... jolly capers make you smile or do you just want to rearrange their kneecaps with a baseball bat?
My husband loathes clowns, he blames it on being menaced by one wielding a huge comb at a circus when he was 5. My kids don't like clowns either and I have to admit apart from Crusty who I can just about cope with I could take 'em or leave 'em (except Ronald McDonald who I want to drop a 16 ton weight on). I don't think of the Joker as a clown in a clown sense either.
One of my friends was traumatised by a clown at her own birthday party 30 years ago and still has the mental scars (ie hates all clowns) yet another friend thinks they are sweet and sad and has pictures of them all over her house
So ... Clowns. Good, bad or indifferent?
