Before Betty Boop was christened with her name, she was called "Nancy Lee" in Barnicle Bill.

And don't forget the most (in)famous example: Bluto renamed Brutus for the King Features cartoons (unless you buy the Bluto/Brutus different characters idea)

A very slight difference, but there was that 1st season Flintstones ep where, after getting hit with the bowling ball, Fred refered to himself as "Frederick". Granted, the personality was more different than the name.

Columbia's Fox & Crow characters underwent several name changes in the cartoons in comics, but their official names are Fauntleroy Samson Fox and Crawford Chester Crow.
