I found the article that was originally called Cartoon Characters that have met the President. but it got me to thinking.. Cartoon Character have met celebrities too..and for a number of reasons...

A good example is Homer Simspon Meeting Aerosmith, (in the Episode Flaming Moe) and that's just one.. Bugs Bunny back in his days Met a Number of Celebrities..(Including Humphrey Bogart)

and then there's Kim Possible who met Ryan Nyquist (BMX'er) , Bob Burnquist(Skateboarder), Dallas Friday(Wakeboarder) , and Trevor Vine (Motorcross expert) - All specialists in their X-Game fields, in the Episode Triple S

But what other Characters have met celebrities. (I've heard that Scooby Met Ronald Reagan.. but let's stick away from the presidents.. and focus on just celebrities..

Alright.. let's hear some..

Celebrities?! The Simpsons have met enough flippin' celebrities to replace Cincinnati's entire population by now (and probably its suburbs, too)...

Arthur met Mr. Rogers (or his "Earth-Arthur" analogue--Rogers is drawn as an aardvark like Arthur) once.

Scooby's met a truckload of celebs, thanks to "The New Scooby Doo Movies"---including Batman and Robin twice.

The Flintstones met various prehistoric celebrities, including Cary Granite (Cary Grant), Ed Sulleystone (Ed Sullivan), Ann-Margrock (Ann-Margaret---a big singer/performer back in the 60's), Samantha from "Bewitched," Michael Jackstone (Michael Jackson, in that Flintstone Kids anti-drug special), and maybe most noteworthy in light of recent events, Johnny Carson's future descendant (in "The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones," where we also got "Jet Rivers" [Joan Rivers]). The voices of Ann-Margaret and IIRC Samantha were provided by their real-life actors.

The Jetsons watched "Ed Solarman" (Ed Sullivan), but don't recall any real celebs or parodies of the same, unless the fictional "Jet Screamer" counts.

The Real Ghostbusters met the Queen Of Soul aka Aretha Franklin off screen.

Johnny Bravo met Don Knotts and Weird Al Yankovic.

oh and TusconCoyote? Reagan was an actor before he was a prez. Therefore--- he was a celeb.

Every animated character in the world has met Adam West by now. :anime:

Yeah, WHAT is with Chuck? Is he a native Texan? Was "Feels So Good" especially popular in the South? Or is it just a pointless running gag?

On a related note, someone once told me a Luanne Platter is a dish you can order from restraunts in Texas, though I don't remember all the details, and so her name is an in-joke. Is this true, and what is it exactly?

It's true! I remember that episode of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3." What I thought was pretty interesting about this episode was that it aired shortly before it was exposed they were lip-synchers. I've only seen it once ever since, and they had taken all song references out of it.

He also met A.J. McLean (of the Backstreet Boys), as well as Karl Malone, Steve Nash, Tracy McGrady, and Yao Ming in two of the show's worst episodes. At least the Shaq and Romeo episodes were pretty good.

As for Scooby-Doo, aside from all the celebrities featured in the Scooby Movies from the 70's, the recent WNSD series had the gang meet Kiss, Simple Plan (who wrote and performed that show's theme song), some teen rock band in Las Vegas (which I think is real if I'm not mistaken), and in a weird unusual cameo, Major League Baseball star Mike Piazza. :o What the hell was he doing there?
