Cartoon Cartoons Shorts Program

So, a Twitter sleuth calling themself AwesomePal did some digging through SAG-AFTRA's signatory files, and it turns out that 3 of these Cartoon Cartoons were greenlit, then had to be cancelled due to the merger with Discovery.

We were (potentially) that close in getting a Hungy Ghost series?!? Now I'm irked.

This is probably the least favorite short this week in my opinion, not that I hate it but I think it felt too real. And yeah, Marie is kinda the worst sister.

If there was one thing that got me chuckle is the "My will: you get nothing" joke.

Clever to have a cartoon that serves as a debate-style talk show. However, I just don't see this getting greenlit since kids may not be interested in this kind of thing.

New short, produced several years ago.

Last week we had 90's comedy slapstick cartoon, this week we've got 2000's action cartoon.

It was a great and stylish short, but I didn't expect that familiar phone ringtone. It makes me wanna go back to 2000's for real.

This was cute! Anyone else notice that the character animation was a bit more lively and expressive than a typical CN Studios show?

Even though this isn't really a pilot, this isn't the first short Sam Marin has made for Cartoon Network – hope he gets his own series greenlight eventually.

Scaredy Cat | Cartoon Cartoons

The short follows the adventure of two 11-year-olds, Scaredy Cat, a cute-scared-Vietnamese-cat-monster and his best friend, Ghost Girl, an outgoing-fearless-princess-demon as they attempt find a cooler pair of shoes.

Created by JJ Villard

I don't really like JJ Villard's sense of humor in his shows and I've never watch his shows in general but this short is way too fast and random in terms of animation. And to think that Scaredy Cat was going to have a full series... o_O

However it's a perfect guilty pleasure short to watch for Halloween.

I'm surprised they greenlit it consider how Villard burned bridges with Cartoon Network. I'm surprised they even released this short.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
