After a two week break, the seventh episode of the fourth season airs tonight at midnight.

Broadcast Order: Season 4, Episode 7
Production Order: Season 4, Episode 5

Opening a portal to hell? Why not just move to Amityville?

Orpheus backstory this week. Whoa.

Matthew Lezko cardboard cutout =.

"Aren't you just a little ashamed of your ignorance?"
"Yes! Constantly!" :anime:

Those girls are probably forty years out of your league.

Got you Hank. The first step is to help her shop for shoes. :p

Lovin' it so far. Finally we got more info on Orpheus' ex-wife (Damn, is she HAWT!) and her husband (yeah, he's pretty cool). And finally after two seasons we get to see the Master again. And Jefferson, Al, and the usual cast is great as well (no Sgt. Hatred yet though).

Looks like Torrid may save Orpheus the trouble.

Err, Master, whatever your name is, you're playing with fire.

Once I watched that Sealab 2021 episode with the HDTV!

I do believe our little clone husks are becoming men.

Dude, that Arch-rider dude who took Orpheus' wife totally looks like David Bowie (from the show) except he has different colored hair and hat.

"who opens up hell?" rock a kerchief? lawn furniture portal! dating advice from hank?? RU-FI-OOOOOH! Orpheus's master is still weird! "BE UNSEEN!" Torrid lives! or not! Dean can only make monster babies? :( home brain surgery?! yay magic blacula hunter! bye Trianna :(

Cut to the company credits before Dean gets his heart bro--oh.

Awwwwwww.

Oy! MID-season finale!
At least Brock comes back.

Good ending.

The season finale is already coming up? Wow.

EDIT: Oh, wait. Just read Kitschen's post. Phew.

I lol'ed at the upside down, talking cat comment.

"Oh yeah, that's what I was looking for."

Triana following in her mom's footsteps sounds interesting. Does this episode put a dent in that whole Triana/Dean pairing?

I wonder if Hatred is missing due to him getting the help he needs to avoid going into a child molesting relapse.

One of my favorite episodes of the season thus far. Sad that we may not see Triana much, if at all, anymore. And I guess that puts the final nail in the Dean/Triana coffin (though it wasn't looking too great to begin with). I was seriously confused at first when the Master turned into adult Dean (at first I thought it was how Triana sees Dr. O). And I guess Torrid's dead now too eh? Well, at least he went out with a bang.

Good episode. We learn a lot more about the Orpheus family.

The Master omitted one important fact about Dean.

Dean is going to inherit control of the Guild of Calamitous Intent.

Triana is going to live her mother to learn to be a powerful sorceress.

They are probably destined to be together, but probably in ten years or so. After both have taken their levels in badass.

Triana and Dean ended their relationship on a good note, so there are no broken hearts standing in the way for them to hook back up later.

Did anyone else next week's preview to Venture Brother episode right after the credits? I am not going to spoil it, but I will say that the episode is probably going to be a "must watch".

I wasn't thrilled at first when Orpheus went to see his master again, because it looked like it was going to be repetitive, but it was actually entertaining seeing the two bicker while the master was looking like Orpheus' wife. Same thing when Triana went in. The episode as a whole was really entertaining as well, and went along at such a nice pace with both Orpheus' and Dean's plots. I thought the end after the credits was priceless, especially with how it cuts out after Dean's reaction. Good stuff overall.

An interesting idea. It's always fun to speculate, and hey, 21 has already taken his level in badass, so I guess it's possible. Guesss we'll have to wait and see (personally I've always been kind of rooting for them to get together)

I think you were misunderstanding what Hank was saying. He wasn't saying that helping her shop for shoes was the first step in a relationship, he was using the fact that he helped buy her shoes as evidence that he has been put in the friend zone.

It would be if we weren't already used to that. She only made two appearences last season and one here. Really her screentime was already getting cut long before this anyway. Might as well at least have a reason and haver her do something constructive offscreen right?

You know if you watch a lot of Venture Brother episodes a lot certain details stick out to you that help you with later eps of the show. For example it was only mentioned a couple of times back in "Eeny Meany Minnie Magic" that Orpehus's wife left him for a younger Necromancer, but now we finally get to see who the guy is: A Powerful wizard of a man called the Out Rider. Who decided to use cursed artificats to grant himself the power to go into the second world which ends up severly injuring him. That's actually a pretty nice twist on what could of just been a "Orpheus is jealous of the guy for being out right better then him" plot. In truth I was looking forward to this ep for awhile for more Orephus and the Triad moments which have been lacking this season but we got a lot of good ones here: Hal wanting to chicken out of the final battle, Jefferson actually dying and seeing his mom beyond the light, getting points knocked off for killing Lesko, Hank asking if Hal is transgendered (and here you thought Dr. Girlfirend would end up getting all those jokes), The Master taunting Orephus by shapeshifting into his dead wife (And once again another "great body, wrong sounding voice" scenario. Once again Dr. Girlfriend territory), the teleporting getting better but still dropping them 10 feet off the ground, Jefferson being surprised Abracadabra's a magical word, billy being an honoary triad memeber to get them a deal of magic, Jefferson having magical powers and Hal wanting to hold a party at the end.

Actually though the kids had the better plots this time around. I'm glad we actually got to see Dean was sort of competent with the ladies (since unlike Hank or Dermott he wouldn't be the kind to lie about it) with Dermott actually giving sound advice and him actually being able to sort of play it cool for a second. Biggest surprise was Trianna though actually doing something in the show. Even in the eps she's in she usually is in the background but this time she actually finds out the truth about her beign mindwiped and Dean's clone status and actually does make the choice to get her own magical abilites (actually someone asked about this before. I guess she was just forced by Orpehus not to study so she wouldn't lived his failed dreams. Maybe that will mean she'll come back with powerful magic abilities later on. That would be nice). And though I did like the Dean/Trianna romance, they did end it on a good note on having a reason Trianna want to distance herself from Dean. And Dean actually wanting to sort of move on. So yeah good ep all around. Probably the best ep of the season IMHO.

I'm glad I was up at the time and had Robot Chicken on, or else I might have missed the ending of the show, since it didn't start until 11:09. I pretty much despise the AS Christmas gift commercials, but could handle them if they didn't throw off the start and end times of shows. But then, when has CN ever really cared about starting their shows on time?

Here's a fun article I wrote on why Ruby and Jade from Sofia The First are good characters.
Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
