WARNING: Spoilers will not be tolerated! Yes, I realize this series has been around since 2002, and I realize it did air on the FUNi Colours TV anime block (It aired back in 2006, so this isn't a dub premiere), but this is its first exposure on [adult swim].
Synopsis: Seina Yamda is your average ordinary everyday teenager, if you take away one thing. Seina is the most unlucky boy known of in the entire universe. However Seina has decided to join the prestigious GP Academy. He hoped that the training at the GP would allow him to win the love of his life, assuming that the two women fighting over him didn't kill each other first. Now, as a Captain, Seina finds he can gain new found respect or ultimately lead the GP down the path of a horrendous defeat, but which way will his luck lead him to?
TONIGHT:
Seina has become the most successful Captain in the GP in terms of rounding up pirates. The Pirate Council has noticed his success and wonders how to destroy the threat known as Captain Seina Yamada. Tarant Shank makes one huge suggestion that could change the course of the Pirate Council- force Ryoko Ballta to use her spy in the GP to assassinate Seina. Who is the spy, and what will Ryoko's answer be? Find out tonight on Tenchi Muyo! GXP!
Your cast of characters:
Seina Yamada: The main character who seems to have horrible luck. Seina has enlisted in the GP and hopes to use it to his advantage to gain the love of Kiriko, but now he has been made a captain and finds that Kiriko is one of the individuals he is to command.
Kiriko Masaki: A young lady that has always been friends with Seina, despite his horrible luck. Kiriko has always favored Seina and done things like make him cake. After being demoted from immigration to the GP Academy as an instructor, Kiriko was told to turn Seina into a man during the next 6 months. Now that Seina is a captain, she has been made a member of his crew, but her mission hasn't changed.
Amane Kaunaq: A mysterious lady that Seina runs into through a horrible series of events. She asked Seina to join the GP, but consequences followed. Amane was demoted from second class detective to a GP Instructor, and now she has been made a member of Seina's crew with the responsibility of rounding up pirates any way possible.
Ryoko Balta: This mysterious woman is one of the leaders of the pirates, but when she sees what Seina has caused to occur, she quickly gains a great interest in him and wonders what she will do if he becomes her enemy.
NB: NB is a specially made AI Assistant Robot. However Amane decides to tamper with NB, completely altering his original programming. Now NB is willing to serve any of the ladies or his master, but he also has a few ulterior motives.
Alan, Barry, and Cohen: These three musketeers are former members of a cargo ship. They took a gig as pirate decoys, not knowing Seina would be their captain, solely to get back into space regularly. Now the 3 find themselves in danger regularly, but they are also gaining some respect for Seina's unique ability.
Tarant Shank: Shank is recognized as the most dangerous and deadly pirate. The GP has constantly looked for ways to beat him, but they've never been successful. Shank continues to attack and and all ships that come his way, but little does he know him and his bloodthirsty brigands are about to run face to face with Seina Yamada. Will Seina's bad luck lead to Shank's ultimate victory, or will Shank find bad luck thrown his way instead?
Elma: Seina first encounters Elma on a tour of the GP Academy. He believes her people are the nicest people in the galaxy, but at the same time he thinks Elma is hiding something. As a former roommate, Seina respects all that Slma has done to help him adjust to the GP, and he is willing to buy her gifts as a sign of thanks.
Airi Misaki: Tenchi's grandmother happens to be the leader of the GP. However she hates being called a Granny. airi not only happens to be the head of the GP, but as the President she goes undercover in the GP base and looks out for spies that she thinks may have infiltrated the GP.
Da Ruma: Da Ruma may not look very fearful, but he is the lader of the Pirate Council. As a general he seeks nothing but the goal of conquering the galaxy and gaining a huge amount of wealth and power in the process. Da Ruma rarely gets his hands dirty, instead choosing to operate from the comfy confines of the hidden pirate base, but he isn't afraid to get out into the field and show others how it should be done when they fail.
Last time: Someone hates Seina. I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY hates Seina.

Okay, Nabeshin, seriously - WHY did you make one of the girls a dog? The direction this episode is going, I don't wanna THINK about what you have in mind.
Well all I have to say is in the word of M. Night Shyamalan, "what a twist." So Ryoko and Erma are one in the same, and sounds like Ryoko have done this a long time, long enough a couple of times she talked like Erma was another person. She might developping a split personality disorder.
