"Bugs Bunny Builders" News & Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

A preview was shown during the Cartoonito live stream. I'm not sure who's voicing Lola, but that I think that's Jeff Bergman as Bugs Bunny.

Okay, This is cute, but I don't know if it'll work. Thank goodness for the New Looney Tunes cartoons though.

What's interesting about this is that it looks like this preschool show will have a funnier version of Lola than the one that was in both of the Space Jam movies.

If that clip is any indication, it should do fine. Kids like the Looney Tunes and they like silly stuff. This has both.

I'm not going to compare Bugs Bunny Builders against Looney Tunes Cartoons because they're aimed at completely different audiences; one is all-ages and the other is clearly aimed at kids 5 and under; it wouldn't be a fair comparison. No point, either, since it's same studio and franchise. The 2 shows aren't in competition with one another. The Looney Tunes are timeless and appeal to a lot of people, young and old; there's no reason we can't have both.

BBB is not for people our age, but I'm more interested in this than I am in Tiny Toons Looniversity. At least Bugs Bunny Builders is something I haven't seen before.

It’s Eric Bauza as Bugs.

His take is more high pitched than Jeff's and if you watch Looney Tunes Cartoons, that is the exact same voice Eric uses dor Bugs so it's 100% him.
It's not confirmed if it's Eric doing the actual voice.

We have two more people confirmed, Cassie Solliday and Abe Audish. For the former, she wrote on the Disney Junior show Puppy Dog Pals. For the latter, he worked on shows like Sanjay And Craig, Powerpuff Girls 2016, Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Tig N Seek.

So Eric Bauza apparently got a mug with the show's logo, basically confirming that he's in it. It also seems like the show isn't too far off from premiering.

Cool.

I'm hoping for a spring or early summer debut. Things have been so quiet on the Western front lately, so it's good to hear that Bugs Bunny Builders is still coming.

According to this "80 Years of Tweety" press release, Bugs Bunny Builders will premiere in the Summer.
Cartoonito: This summer, Tweety will star alongside fellow Looney Tunes characters in Bugs Bunny Builders, a new preschool animated series coming to Cartoonito on HBO Max and Cartoon Network. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and built on the solid comedic foundation of the iconic Looney Tunes, Bugs Bunny Builders brings the wackiness, humor and slapstick we’ve grown to love to a new preschool audience. At ACME Construction Company, Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny manage a crew of builders that, quite frankly, should not be anywhere near a construction site. However, by working together as a team, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety and others use their tools and wild vehicles to pull off some of the looniest construction jobs ever.

So Katie Mattila's LinkedIn profile says that she's a freelance writer for the series. She started out writing for action shows (both Avatar shows, Kung Fu Panda: Legends Of Awesomeness) before writing for episodic comedies (Harvey Beaks, Home: Adventures With Tip And Oh, The Loud House). The only other preschool show she wrote for is the DreamWorks Jr show Archibald's Next Big Thing.

So I recognize a few of the names. One I noticed is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. I would assume she's the voice director given how she's worked on other Warner Brothers Animation shows before (working on Dorothy And The Wizard Of Oz, season 3 of Bunnicula, and a few episodes of Green Eggs And Ham). I saw the name Chandi Parekh. I assume she's voicing Lola. She did voice work on The Loud House and Big Nate, and is also voicing Harley Quinn in Batwheels. I remember Nicole BeLisle's LinkedIn said she was working on a Warner Brothers show. I'm guessing it's this one. She's done some preschool stuff, like Archibald's Next Big Thing, Go Dog Go, and Mickey Mouse Funhouse. It looks like Matthew Janszen is doing the music. He worked on Scooby Doo And The Gourmet Ghost, Thundercats Roar, Aquaman: King Of Atlantis, and Archibald's Next Big Thing.
