Yeah, no special thread title. Watching right now, my cruddy internet. Thoughts soon, I hope.

I was wondering who Phil's friend was based on exactly.

Anyway this was pretty great, usually when BS tried to do visual gags or push the limits with the animation it only showed the limits of the series. But Evil in particular moved really well and the off model expressions were better than usual especially the SMC gag. It was funny too, I think on paper this wasn't the funniest episode but it was done nicely.

Anyway lots of possible changes...
-Phil and Joel might live in space now... maybe with Spacetree.
-Elly might be gone.
-Rya is probably gone.
-A lot of the other characters were killed by Elly or still in his fortress.
-No one cares about June.
-Ken.

"Tonight, a very special Bonus Stage event..."

Well it is. Watch it. I've commented on it in 2 forums so far and I don't really feel like commenting on it again... but it's a solid 22-minute adventure. More of a comedy-affected adventure than a straight-up comedy, which works just fine when it's done right, and it is. Matt Wilson may have had some trouble finding that balance in the past, but this one seems right on target.

Evil is so cute. Even though he was an alter ego of another character that I'm n ot gonna reveal. ;) Why didn't Phil use his super powers?

The episode was done very, VERY well, but I'm a little disappointed with the outcome (As cool a twist as it was).
The space idea is actually pretty neat. Reminds me of the abandoned 3rd season of Zim. However, removing Elly and Rya and keeping Jessica, who I find neither funny or appealing, is a bad move.

Best Episode Ever. It really felt serious at times, but then funny. Sad, though. If this is really true, the only females left in BS are Jessica and [strike]June[/strike] noone else. And an error in the credits. Ken is spelled as "Keen".

Best Quote:

"We can crossover with Space Tree!"

"NO."

So, Evil was Elly all along? Well, never saw that one coming...

The buzz on KeenToons Froms seems to indicate otherwise

Overall, very funny no holds bared marathon of...awsomeness.

Kinda anoyed that Strongbad + Crew wern't kidnapped but I suppose licene problems saw an end to that and, I dunno, maybe the reach of evil isn't long enough to blacken FreeCountry USA (It can reach Hell/Sun but not FreeCountry USA, funny thought that :D)

It was funny, nicely animated, and an ending I didn't expect.
But the best thing about Bonus Stage is that the endings are unpredictable.

How is the digital music made? If it's some kinda program, I wanna get it.

Fruity Loops. The coolness of the program's name is inversely proportional to how expensive it is. In other words, it's very expensive.

I think it's almost in the same league as Photoshop...

No, it's $149 vs. other studio softwares which are like $349 (Reason/Acid) to $700 (Logic/ProTools) when fully tricked out, so really, FL is reasonably priced.

Good lord, that was a buttnumber. The epic conclusion to the four week Phil Vs. Evil arc throws alot of potential changes for Season 5 (if there is one...). Best bits include the Keen and Action Squad Detective Force scenes and the ending with Spacetree (NO!).

On a side note, I guess you can access the true end if you mess with right click and forward. And D'oh, forgot something that someone would usually just correct me with.

Expensive as in $109 on Amazon?
I can swing that.

I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Enough to go back and watch the whole thing a second time. My favorite jokes were probably the end of act 1 with, you know, what's her face, Joel's COMPLETELY nonsensical comebacks and tangents, and the whole cast of lame, annoying, none-too-bright neighbors and space monsters and whatnot babbling on all at once in the cells. I wouldn't want to let them out either.

I always like BS's musical action sequences, but they always feel cut off too soon. The climactic battle sequence, though, was satisfying. I liked that tune.

You done good Matt. You're really going to subject yourself to two more seasons?! Ah well...I'm not complaining. But HAD this been a series finale, It would not have disappointed.

Yeah, really, this episode would be a perfect series finale. It's what anyone would hope for in a series finale, I think. Not that I want the show to end at this point (because this sieries is to), but this had the makings of a series finale. Series finale. Series finale. Series finale.

And yes, watching it a second time is rewarding. There are actually some pretty cool clues sprinkled throughout the episode.

This one held my interest for the full 22 minutes, which is good, because some of the recent ones (except for last week's stellar episode) didn't, and they were only for 5 minutes. Maybe it's because there was an actual story like High Score had. I mean there ARE plots to Bonus Stage too, but they're usually pretty threadbare or they're so rushed in 5 minutes that it SEEMS like it has no plot. But whatever, now I'm rambling. ;)

This one was full of references- not all of them were LOL but definitely made the inner geek in me smile. The animation was a step up, too, and it was nice to see newly drawn stuff for the action scenes. And shocker- Rya made me laugh! Keep up the good work.

All I can say about this episode: I was laughing for over a minute due to
Joel's version of Super Milk-chan's "YOU DUMBASS!!!" catchphrase.

This was brilliant. It made me laugh, it had an ending I never saw coming and it was just overall great.

Matt Wilson, you have outdone yourself.

I look forward to seeing more Bonus Stage (if there is more) even if it's Bonus Stage in Space. Maybe there will be a Space Cases parody. (You seem to be the only person other than myself who remembers Space Cases.)

There are at least 25 more episodes planned. Their descriptions appear if you click "play" or "forward" on the right-click menu on the episode guide.

In short, everything that happened in this episode seems to be permanent, although not everything is as permanent as you may assume.
