Favorite scene was in the intro, when the joker is beating up jason! :), i noticed the blood dissapears a bit when he is trying to crawl to the door!

great movie i was on the edge of my seat the entire time! what i dont get is how ras let jason escape...

I didn't get the blu ray because I don't have a player, but I would have wanted to see "Robin's Requiem the tale of Jason Todd." has anyone seen this? how is it?

Because they made the irritating decision to make that a Blu ray exclusive, I only bought the single disc dvd edition. Anything good that I'm missing?

EDIT also, I see the blu ray gets 4 BTAS episodes and DVD got 2. I know the 2 disc dvd got robin's reckoning, what are the other 2 included on blu ray? Do the episodes look good on blu ray?

Mad Love and The Laughing Fish are the other two.

You're not missing much, the Requiem 20min feature was sort of interesting, but if you're a fan you've heard it all before.

As for the BTAS episodes looking better, well, on the PS3 they actually look worse because the PS3 doesn't upscale SD video on Blu, so it's better just to watch them on DVD and let the PS3 upscale it.

About time WB added spanish and other dubs in their movie.....unfortinately it;s european spanish :P

Was tempted to grab the blu-ray, but unfortunately Best Buy only had the deluxe version with the figurine for $40. Compared to the $20 for the standard-def 2-disc DVD, and it wasn't too hard to stay SD for a little longer.

I'm surprised, as with the last release, that WHV takes the time to reprint disc 1 with the added short rather than keeping the same 1st disc as the single release and tossing the short onto disc 2 with the other bonus features. Not sure how that makes for great production sense, but there ya have it.

I'm glad Best Buy was selling the single and 2-disc standard-def versions at the same price, as I probably would've skipped over the 2-disc otherwise. Please, WB, bring back the commentary tracks! Would love to hear Judd Winick offer more thoughts on adapting his own material.

As much as I whole-heartedly agree with you, I asked a similar question to Ben Jones, director on Batman: The Brave and The Bold and this was his reply:

Ben Jones said:
No, and so far as I know, neither did anyone else. Warner's seems to have fallen out of that habit - I was disappointed there wasn't one on for Crisis on Two Earths (I even bought the 2-disc set!)

But those discs are aimed specifically at collectors and fans, so if Warner's isn't gonna spring for commentary tracks for them, I don't see us getting one.

Nowadays, though, there are other avenues for the sort of behind-the-scenes anecdotes you hear on commentary tracks, like Comic book convention panels and formspring pages and whatnot.

4/5 - Strong Blu-Ray release.

The Exclusive Robin docu was interesting, but nothing to get TOO excited about. Still, it must suck for all the folks who buy the 'Deluxe' DVD version and still don't get everything. Anyway, both featurettes were solid, and a definite improvement on what we got on the last few discs.

I enjoy the bonus DCAU episodes, but I wouldn't be mad if they weren't there. Still, fun to watch, and convenient to not have to pull out the DVDs. Hey, sometimes I'm lazy... want to keep watching, but don't want to get up and change the disc!

The Hex short alone makes it worth getting the 2 disc version if you go the DVD route though, it's just amazing, worth the few extra bucks. Don't skimp, you're gonna want that Hex short. Sure, it'll get released on the Showcase collection, but you might be dead by then; see it now! ;)

I can't give any of these releases a 5/5 until they BRING BACK COMMENTARY TRACKS though.

I only got the Two-Disc DVD version, because I'm not a Blu-ray owner yet.

I really liked the Dick Grayson documentary -- It was at least a step up from the terrible extras on Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths -- but I really wish the Jason Todd documentary was included, too, and not exclusive to Blu-ray.

What happened to the days when we'd get great Two-Disc Special Edition packages like Justice League: The New Frontier? That had some great bonus features.

My Target 2-disc purchase also included The Batman's A Matter of Family and BTAS's Joker's Millions. I already own the complete DC animation library (at least what is available) but maybe someone would be interested in those eps. Anyways I essentially paid $3 for Jonah Hex, the Dick Grayson documentary and a slipcase. I guess those elements were worth $3 and the feature was also well worth the price.

I was pretty disappointed that the Jason Todd doc was only included on the Blu-Ray, but enjoyed the Dick Grayson one. Jonah Hex was great, on par with The Spectre, The first look at Apocalypse contained surprisingly little animation assuming the feature is probably in the can for a September release.

can anyone tell me what comic this is that appears in the dick grayson featurette? i think all 4 pictures are from the same comic.

Ahem.

Skip down to the second-to-last paragraph if you don't want to read me gassing on about the movie.

I was wondering what comic story this was, too. The art is beautiful!

I'm not sure, but I think it may have been in an issue of Batman: Legends of The Dark Knight. If anyone knows for sure, please let us know. Thanks.

My Target 2-disc purchase also included The Batman's A Matter of Family and BTAS's Joker's Millions.
Really? Is that on another disc? Every time I buy these DC discs at target there's the little sticker on the outside saying "Extra Episodes!" but I never see them anywhere.

I was disappointed in the special features presented on this disc, I always enjoy stuff that directly relates to what I am watching and that was lacking here.

I loved the movie but was not pleased with the special features.

Whoa, looks like the 2 Disc sold out on Amazon already. First time I remember that happening with the DCU movies.

Yeah, I remember the lithograph version selling out too. Seems like a good sign.

I can't help but feel that Dick Grayson is getting too much face time in animation and we're not seeing much of Tim Drake.

Its on disc 2. This time its labeled something like "Target Exclusive Episodes" in the past the Target episodes have been a bit more hidden.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
