Looking at this interview it reminds me of how much Boomerang has changed over the years. Boomerang aired primarily old shows for those in 6 to 35 and above, to air old shows again while airing old content. However as the years went on the ideas of the channel changed and unfortunately their programming did become more smaller.

This paragraph does not age well.
Boomerang is a channel that airs content that is both classic and exclusive. It is a perfect complement to the Cartoon Network. In the late 90’s, when all of the cable companies came out with digital channels, much of their offerings were just reshuffled versions of the same thing. Boomerang is different. Currently about 80% of what we air isn’t on Cartoon Network. We’re definitely not a "CN 2" or can be compared to any other channel on television.

In many regions it's still not a "CN 2". In Europe it's basically a semi-competitor to pre-school channels not chiefly showing the kind of content pre-school channels were made for. There was Cartoonito for that but the brand was stagnant outside of the UK and Italy.

2004: "We’re definitely not a 'CN 2'"
2018: Reruns of Chowder, KND, Foster's, Dexter's Lab and Billy & Mandy are currently playing
It's amazing to see how the constant changes to the television industry make this kind of channel nearly obsolete and cloning an existing one.
