sounds like this episode will be good no matter what direction they chose. but i would ask this: isn't south park itself long overdue to be parodied/"skewered? (not counting self-parody). the only instances i know of are mad magazine and FLCL...which was more homage than parody. but has any...
my 2 cents:
1. yes, given the information at hand, hayes leaving looks pretty hypocritical-
2.BUT not anymore hypocritical than ANY theist who wants to somehow view their particular belief as superior, or more valid than "those wacky scientologists"
i'm sure you mean this for qualitys sake, but really it all depends on the vision of the creators involved. for example, south park favors writing over detailed animation, but it's that way on purpose- as a creative choice. writing and animation should have equal creative priority.
i would say kitty
its fresher, more interesting, and their kids would be awesome!! (should i stick to this wall, or just phase through it?)
i'm an old guy, and even ultimate MJ bores me to bits.
huey from boondocks
claudia grant from robotech
the fat albert gang
panthro from thundercats
jazz from transformers
as kids when i was growing up , we always identified these last two as black because of their voice actors.....(scatman caruthers, and whoever played grandpa huxtable on the cosby...
the fact is, 3D can be rendered to look like anything from a pencil sketch to van gogh painting, and anything in between. it's just that the realistic rendering is the most popular thing right now. some people cited "too much realism" as the reason why they voted against CGI, or as that being a...
i think the whole point "punk storm" was that it was out of character....it was refreshing and a smooth transition. hopefully they'll get her physical depiction nailed down in this one- some artists seem to draw storm with caucasian features and then color her some generic brown.
sadly, i think mr. meltzer plans on excluding martian manhunter from the post IC lineup........don't like that, cuz j'on is one of my favorite JLAers......
unless i'm mistaken, he's been in every incarnation of the league...he's a very interesting character IMO, but he always seems to get...
i would like to see stewie spoof the ending segment of "reading rainbow",where the kids review the books...
also wouldn,t mind seeing a spoof of simon in the land of chalk drawings, or cursor from automan, or manimal.....
some stories are better off as single movie, standalone affairs. roger rabbit is not one of them. the conclusion of the story is open-ended---the story deals with the personal and work lives of cartoons-something that i would imagine would be constantly growing and changing--finally, the...
i have always wondered what the roger rabbit universe would be like in the 80's, so i'm hoping for a sequel (imagine the action toons of that era interacting with each other and the classic toons)
not a fan of alex ross either, i thought i was the only one.
his composition is amazing, but he basically just draws "people in suits", as opposed to super heroes. and ironically, he apparently loathes the "over realistic" work of the darker writers...but he draws the way they write!
my tastes...
i have been living in atlanta since january 2003, and still have yet to experience dragoncon...i am gonna try and catch it this year....
hopefully this event won't drain my pockets in '06, since it's around the same time of year...
drama works easily in animation......
the most glaring example being graveyard of the fireflies....
also bakshi works like heavy traffic, hey good lookin, and american pop....
most "abstract" animation is also basically drama driven, due to its heavy symbolism (svankmajer, brothers quay)...
aside from fritz the cat, most of ralph bakshi's films were dramas
american pop
fire and ice
lord of the rings
hey good looking
cool world
coonskin
cool world was not a straight drama, though
i think anyone who is a big enough fan of a particular movie/genre probably keeps their collection in pristine condition......that being the case, if a later edition has more, why dont you just trade it in at one of these used dvd places and put the money towards the purchase? thats what i...
i saw on AWN that john K was appoached by viacom to resurrect
Ren and Stimpy and he agreed to it.........he said that the stories would be more complex this time around, taking up the entire half hour
