Cartoon characters using phonographs hasn't been allowed on Toon Zone since it went all digital. Listen to us live on Laser Toon 100.3 FM.

It's too bad that it isn't better known here. I LOVE Nick Park and Aardman Animation. It's hard to believe that it has been almost 20 years since we first saw him in "A Close Shave."
It's cartoon news and that's what we are here to discuss.
Even if the headline is "Bart's prank causes a commotion" someone should start a thread.
Even if the headline is "Homer takes a new job" someone should start a thread.
Even if the headline is "Terrible guest star to appear" well, this...
I'm not thrilled by this story. Divorce and Lena Dunham are nothing to be advertizing. Both have been done ad nauseam. (one way or another)
I think it would be a better show if it primarily dealt with narcolepsy (which will probably only spent half an act on) and all the crazy trouble it gets...
Jude Law does look quite funny in Spy, unfortunately as a comedic actor McCarthy lacks the skill and sensitivity of a Kevin James so I'll be doing my self a favor and skipping it completely.
I thought the commercials made it look like the funniest Melissa McCarthy movie I've ever seen. Having only seen the commercials for her movies. I'm still not about to watch any of them including this one. I did see some actual humor in there, aside from her falling over on a scooter.
And Ted 2...
As far as it being timeless, I don't see any of those kids with iPhones.
They kept it faithful to the Schulz drawings. The girls look out of date. Maybe the bows are imitatible for a Peanuts look. The boys fair better.
I'm not sure what you are looking for. A western could be anything from The Apple Dumpling Gang to a romance to brutal violence like Unforgiven.(good movie though)
You may want to consider reading biographies and non-fiction.
I've been want to read more westerns. You could try Zane Grey if you...
I agree. This thread is not productive and most of the responses have been jokes. Therefore I'm reopening this thread in F&G where we can assign attack and defense values and such.
I expect dumbfoolkid5 to do some explaining about the goals of the invading force and their methods.
Is this going...
The Mindy Project finds a new home on Hulu.
I think it's just as well. I fell out of touch with the show because of its time slot so it may as well be on Hulu.
The point is Facebook is getting big enough and has enough content delivered through them that whatever isn't on Facebook is no longer relevant. The more it has the more important it is for content providers to be there. Things outside the interface are out of sight and out of mind.
Sort of...
I saw a thing about how Facebook was making deals to add news content and someone declared it the "end of the internet." I guess because you no longer need to go online anywhere else when Facebook has it all.
That reminds me of how most people got started on the internet, as AOL subscribers...
Tonight's pieced together episode of Supernatural
"The Prisoner"
Wednesday May 13, 2015 @ 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on The CW
Dean goes after the Styne family and Sammy has self doubt after saving the book after you know what happened.
That looks great!
Gonzo is going to be big in this. Which is good since I love Gonzo. The band got some good representation in that clip too. The obscure human Muppet seems like a commentary on Walter. As far as Rizzo and Pepe go, I'd rather see more Rizzo. Pepe is too sexual and a bit of a...
Good for the Muppets. They've had a hard time lately, saving the theater from the guy with a maniacal laugh and Kermit going to jail.
It actually sounds more like an adult Sesame Street. I'm guessing they are ditching the letter of the day and if they have a number of the day it may even go...
I found a few laughs in that. It's topical comedy handled with the typical MacFarlane sensitivity.
The animation is not blowing me away. Going for good enough to get the idea through.
Where the Dead Go to Die appears to be the name of the movie in question. I haven't seen it or had time to watch the video yet. It has a way to go to beat Foodfight.
Tonight's dark episode of Supernatural
"Dark Dynasty"
Wednesday May 6, 2015 @ 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on The CW
Sam and Dean look into a peculiar murder and make the discovery that the person responsible has the same tattoo the Styne family has; Eldon styne squares off against Dean resulting in a brutal...
Tonight's episode of Supernatural
"Angel Heart"
Wednesday April 29, 2015 @ 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on The CW
Unfortunately it's another Claire episode where she gets information on the whereabouts of her mother, Amelia. But on the other hand it's also a Castiel episode, who asks Sam and Dean if they...
I thought we still may be getting a Pacific Rim cartoon, which will rock.
The difference is we don't have a FOX looking for edgy, in your face programing (which are words that were really used at one time), to fill Saturday morning and weekday blocks.
The best we have now is Nick and Cartoon...
I rarely missed an episode of The Screen Savers and many of the fine shows on TechTv.
Yeah, I have a bitter memory of that.
It's been a long time and technology has changed so much but so long as Leo keeps putting his foot in his mouth it should be fun to watch.
Tonight's episode of Supernatural
"The Werther Project"
Wednesday April 22, 2015 @ 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on The CW
Sam discovers that Magnus, a former Men of Letters (and far too interesting to have been killed off in one episode), once constructed a magical box, which prompts Sam to hunt it down with...
A movie like that would do even better but it intimidates people who haven't seen the first one and will feel lost. I figure that's why Adam Sandler rarely does sequels, except maybe Grown-ups 2, 8 Crazy Nights and 50 First Dates.
Tonight's awesomely named episode of Supernatural
"Book of the Damned"
Wednesday April 15, 2015 @ 9 p.m. ET/8 CT on The CW
Charlie tells Sam and dean that she has discovered the Book of the Dead, which they hope to use to remove the Mark of Cain; Jacob Styne claims the book belongs to his...
Boxers are great because you can put so many designs on them. It offers the chance for a gag or a deep insight into a character, in a funny way.
Briefs are the gooniest looking article of clothing we have. You would have to wear overhalls with a frilly shirt to look goofier and it would be hard...
I was just watching Fun & Fancy Free this weekend. It's from the forgettable post war years of Disney animated movies prior to Cinderella.
It will also be the next vhs that I watch since I was only able to watch half and didn't get to the Micky Mouse and the Beanstalk part.
At least it gives...
Broadcast Order: Season 13, Episode 14
Production Order: Season 12, Episode 11?
Writer: Artie Johann and Shawn Ries
Director: Julius Wu
A new episode airs April 12 at 9:00 PM Eastern. Where the following happens:
Spirited Away
I'm going to have to go with Spirited Away too. It's dripping with magic all the way through, from the reappearance of the soot monsters to learning to deal with grandma.
On the other hand The Incredibles will get a sequel, which is a win.
The Iron Giant
I think it wears better. I can watch it again and again.
On the other hand The Incredibles has a few flat notes when pushing its messages. This family is your greatest adventure. When everyone is special no one is. They actually say those things repeatedly.
There was a Highlander cartoon? I'd prefer that even if it's to go on and on about how bad it is. As longs as it's still Highlander.
I'm not sure. It looks forgettable and they came out when I was about done with D&D.
Terry Brooks and Xanth is what I was into and I'm kind of fuzzy on those.
And...
Spirited Away
If Sleeping Beauty was still in this I may have been temped to vote for that over SA. At least for Once Upon a Dream.
I wonder if who would have won this conference if it was based on soundtrack.
Wall-E
It's hard to vote against Wall-E. The silent movie part was brilliant. Lots of brilliant cinematic moments. It fleshes out two worlds: the post junk Earth and a stagnant space future.
I think I'm more influenced by the Iron Giant heavy machinery type robot designs.
I'm not really...
