    They may not be the entire fanbase, but they're the loudest. Unfortunately, that matters quite a lot. I wanted to cultivate extensive discussion on toonzone; I did my best early on, and Lauren Faust even thanked me, but people just want to post images and talk about memes. That bothers me. I wish there could be discussion threads with hundreds of replies. I wish there could be debates over the finer points of characters. However, my wishes don't seem too realistic when people are discussing Rainbow Dash's sexuality. That's the internet, I suppose.

    I have a longstanding grudge against 4chan from back when they raided a forum I was a moderator of. I’m sure there are a few decent people who browse there, but most of them are degenerates who have no respect for anything, and because they made Friendship Is Magic so popular, I resent that fact. It didn’t help that when I criticized Derpy on here, they tracked me down on other forums and started hurling insults. Suffice it to say, that didn’t exactly improve my feelings for the “bronies”. Regardless of what you say, the “bronies” and 4chan are inseparable; even Equestria Daily, which most people cite as a respectful website, has had polls asking which pony would make the best lingerie model and they cite /co/ as the source of the poll. What a surprise. So with all due respect, I have no intention to embrace the movement. It’s all influenced by 4chan, whether you want them to or not.
