    I thought Jess Harnell as British Ironhide was cool, even if he wasn't given much to do (which can be said for pretty much every Autobot not named Prime or Bumblebee until at least Age of Extinction). Was pretty bummed when they killed him off.

    I was never crazy about Animated Ironhide though. It was neat how they justified his name, but Ironhide being a rookie 'bot and being a jerk to 'Bee and Bulkhead just didn't sit right with me. It was interesting he was intended to join the team in season 4 though.

    Animated Ironhide had a neat superpower. I wish they'd had those more in Transformers Prime and the films.

    I hope Prowl comes to a point where he reconsiders his life. At least for Prime's sake and everyone else who's life he's manipulated. There's only so much people can take of someone so smug, misguided, and manipulative without their getting really punished for it.

    I will raise hell if Verity dies. I like her! ...Then again, I'd also rise hell if Prowl dies. I like him! Though you do have a point, Frontier. Only so much his manipulation can take him. I haven't read further than #1 on Sins of the Wreckers, but it seems we're finally seeing Prowl getting some kind of karmic justice.

    Course I'm not saying this like this something Prowl should 100% consider changing. There's always an interesting quality of having a shadowy figure trying to do good in spite of amoral means to do so.

    I would never have expected the Rescue Bots would end up being revamps of both the Protectobots AND the Dinobots.

    With Chase, Heatwave, and Blades they were already 3/5 of the Protectobots. I always thought it was a glaring oversight that the team of first responders never had had an ambulance.

    Maybe that'll be what the new female Rescue Bot might transform into? Though they might not have wanted an ambulance because it would draw obvious Ratchet comparisons.

    Reading the recent Civil War (comic) news has assuaged me of any doubts I had as to whether it would be something I'd enjoy. It won't.

    Watching old G.I. Joe repeats, it's interesting to see the odd female Cobra Trooper now and again. And most of them are blondes, apparently.

    Yeah, especially when they already have Baroness and Zarana in the organization as "elite female bad guys." You don't usually expect to see any ladies pop up among the rank and file of a ruthless terrorist organization, especially for the time period.

    Though even Batman '66 usually had female molls/henchgirls to go along with the main baddie, even if they never get into the same action as the male henchmen. Batman '66: Equal opportunity for both crime-fighters and criminals!

    I remember being genuinely surprised when the second season of Kaijudo added female minions among the Choten's forces. Shows are much more likely to stop at named villains within the hierarchy when it comes to representation.

    Of course a Paul Dini scripted Scooby-Doo movie about magicians would feature someone in Zatanna's costume. And pulling it off, I might add.

    I wonder if any of the modern Transformers cartoon writers realize Prime back in G1 actually emoted and wasn't just stoic all the time.

    I think there is validity in Bee being mute (because disability is also something we should be teaching kids about), but it would have worked if they let him pantomime more. We know he's young and will mature by the time Smokescreen arrives, but we never really see that gradual growth.

    Which is a shame because TFP CAN do silent characters. Soundwave utters only one sentence in the whole series, but they did an excellent job presenting him as a silent, but loyal and very powerful figure.

    Movie Bumblebee's gimmick would have gotten so old. I was tired of it halfway through Revenge of the Fallen.

    Watching classic Transformers reruns with the movie in mind is...interesting. Especially when Megatron shoots Autobots and they don't die.

    Its like watching Scooby Doo after Zombie Island. Masks and smoke machines just aren't that interesting after seeing the gang face the living dead.
