Cartoon Network International News Thread 27.0

Most content when it comes to live-action shows and movies only have subs so you shouldn't be too confident to say that people would not watch them when they do. But I understand they won't add animated shows if they don't get dubs.

It looks like only The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy are coming to HBO Max in the CEE region - or, more precisely, only to the Hungarian market.

When it comes to the classic Cartoon Network titles, the lineup may vary from country to country. So it's possible that we'll only get these two shows, while our neighboring countries receive additional classics over the coming weeks. As for Hungary, the next classic title isn't expected to arrive until August.

Before anyone asks, unfortunately I don't know which titles, if any, are planned for other countries.
Do we still have to be patient, as it was written here in August 2025, or can we say that CN Europe already has an almost sadistic perversion to mess with its few remaining customers in CEE?

THERE ARE (almost) NO CHILDREN, they watch Lily Anachkova, Sandeff and Stella, INFLUENCERS! ANDY STUDIO, which CN Bulgaria created, btw! We are the target, we are the people who pay for HBO Max. Parents do NOT pay for their children to watch HBO Max, only if they want to watch something there. They DO NOT want to watch Cartoonito (the main import of content here), they want Dexter's Lab. And other classics. But Max says "we don't want you, get off our platform!".

We will get at least Flapjack S01. Unless they "postpone" it as well, which since 2012 for CEE means they forget about it. Then late Fall 2026 will be Summer 2022 (The Great WBD-HBO Max Purge) again and content will probably be removed or "postponed" (never released) again. Ugh. Terribly sad behavior.
Ninjago: Dragons Rising will start airing from the 13th right with the new episodes and then is gone right after the premieres are done (also with no rerun slots). Good riddance I say!!
Ninjago is the only action show with new episodes, the only series with depth, story, drama. The only competition to Avatar from Nick. They could do more, but they don't want to. It's really not a celebration, it's a tragedy how the brand is limited to sitcoms and slice of life. Mature shows were part of the brand, now only wacky and cheesy stuff, except for the new episodes of Regular Show. But that is a comedy also. Tragedy and a joke of a brand.

Andy Studio should be grateful and at least promote Cartoon Network, because without it they wouldn't be where they are today. Even so, I still hate how CN created them they literally ruin a whole generation.

Even if they premiere new shows, the team that operates the WE and CEE feeds will probably remove them after the second month. Those people should be fired ASAP. At this point, even a kid managing HBO and CN would probably do a better job.

Kids here prefer to watch Brazilian (and not European Portuguese) YouTubers and that poses a threat to parents.

When I was a kid, when the internet wasn't as omnipresent as it is now, there were no problems with content in Brazilian Portuguese, English or Spanish shoven down our throats.

July CEE schedule

like i said before this is just sad, WE and CEE especially are feeds that would be good to sleep on this summer same with all the other emea feeds, these teams just have no idea what they're doing at this point (and I bet most of these people on here would do a much better job managing CN in emea if they got hired)

@Daffyrocks CN WE/CEE actually extended the Top Plans block to start this Monday (July 6th) already instead of the week after

That explains why the promo already started airing last week

EDIT: It might actually only be WE, CEE will still only have it from the 13th from what I've seen

The promo aired today on CN CEE and they still said "coming soon". Plus, the 11:50-12:45 CET portions are still scheduled to be normal next week. So, it is indeed only WE that extended the block. Interesting..

CEE at least has a more healthier linear TV with good ratings. Although I don't quite understand what ocean has to do on how WE and CEE operate.

I disagree as we can't really call them dead when you look at the main CN US feed being on autopilot. Creatively they are in better state than 5 years ago. Holidays are treated like a big deal. Christmas is acknowledged again. I don't get the pessimism. Those feeds are much better than CN UK. I watched the feed a couple of days ago and it's in more bad state even with healthy commercial market.

look at what they have planed for summer and you can see why I say that

But even summers before this year haven't been great. We can't expect them to put effort into it as people in the summer don't watch that much TV. It is what it is. I can't get mad at them because most people even at the powers of CN are on a summer vacation. It's unfair to call them lazy. Likely WBD cuts affected every WBD channel. There are many reasons. You just need to look at the bigger picture.

Many kids are out in the summer the least they can do is put a bit more effort in the branding and creativity to keep them engaged but no

it's not like it's impossible as some feeds were able to do this before the mergers, they are lazy and that's just the truth, even disney and nick are doing more creative and interesting things

Are you really expecting kids to watch TV in the summer? The audience of kids watching linear TV has become niche as it's the era of TikTok. As much as I wish for them to go back to early 2010s roots, I also understand why they don't try as much. They have the viewership data and how many kids watch and we don't. We are just speculating. Let's enjoy for what we have because in 5 years we are in the situation after another merger that CN is much worse by then. You can't expect them to have 50 shows on TV. You are just never happy but keep on going and say how CN is the worst channel of all time acting like it's CN India. This whole conversation every week about negativity is pissing me off and it's also too repeatitive. We are running in circles. I'll say that much. CN deserves some credit for trying more than they did just 5 years ago.

...what if I want them to improve but in order for that to happen we need to acknowledge their faults many people have been criticizing feeds like CEE for years so how I'm I different let's not forget I have given some praise to WE and even CEE sometimes however I can't just be praising them all the time but apparently when I'm criticizing them I'm saying that they're "the worst channel of all time" and they are CN India

I just miss the days when I used to watch CN In 2014 back when they aired classics shows
