International Nickelodeon Thread Part 17

Remember when Nickelodeon Latin America aired movies like this, they stopped airing theatrical movies since 2020, which made themselves a laughing stock.

And aside from Nickelodeon Movies, some of their properties like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and Jimmy Neutron have aired on Cartoon Network in Latin America, only the movies.

I've heard of CN LA airing the Jimmy Neutron movie before

I've heard that they also aired Hey Arnold! The Movie in the past, but not the SpongeBob movie (Boing Spain however did air it).

Promo for "Saban's Adventures of The Little Mermaid" when it aired on the original Nickelodeon Germany in 1998 prior to its shutdown.

The Marsupilamis premieres on Nick Jr. UK in July.
In January of 2025, Clan was planning to add a Catalan track, including Basque and Galician, to their cartoons, including SpongeBob, which was set to air in the fall of that year, but got postponed to Spring 2026
[...]
Then Spring 2026 arrived, and what we got was a bait and switch, no Catalan audio track, and instead we got Catalan subtitles.
The tracks for Clan haven't been scrapped, they're currently dubbing content into the aforementioned languages in preparation. So far, the only confirmed series is Momonsters. (which RTVE is also dubbing into Valencian?)

The best of Bikini Bottom (Seasons 1-8) marathon promo (the marathon starts on 6 July)

Also, after the feed merger, they really started making better promos. This one is honestly one of the best Nickelodeon promos we've had in a long time. They even included viral memes from SpongeBob.

All European feeds are getting this marathon except Germany and Italy, as far as I know. Germany will have a different marathon instead but the marathon is still for SpongeBob old seasons.

I'm not sure if the UK and Ireland is gonna have the marathon on either Nickelodeon or Nicktoons since they're some of the last few countries alongside Germany and Italy to still have a localized Nick feed.

Why isn't footage from seasons 1–8 of SpongeBob SquarePants pillarboxed in that promo? That's how these episodes are presented on both Paramount+ and SkyShowtime, and it aligns precisely with how these episodes are actually meant to be seen.

Nickelodeon UK, Nicktoons UK, Nickelodeon Germany, Nickelodeon Italy, Nickelodeon Israel and Nickelodeon Australia won't have it. They're too localized to even have it.

Only the global feed compound will have it to my knowledge.

They probably wanted to remove the pillarboxing for the promo, but I think they'll airing it with pillarboxing anyway, since they're already airing Avatar and SpongeBob on NickToons in pillarboxed.

This argumentation doesn't make sense.

Nothing stops localised feeds from adopting Global Feeds stunts, especially if they could surely work well for them too

Nickelodeon UK will also have this stunt (although they adjusted the promo a bit):

Imo the global feeds have the better version of the promo.

Oh, I see. Nevermind.

Could it possibly be that they've somehow gone back and actually redubbed the older SpongeBob SquarePants episodes into Danish!?

SpongeBob's line from "Idiot Box", and the whole "Oh, that's real nice" line (or what little we hear of it) followed by SpongeBob saying "Whew!" actually sound different in this promo than in the preexisting Danish dub already available on SkyShowtime. Yeah, that's clearly Jens Jacob Tychsen's SpongeBob voice heard in later Danish-dubbed media, and not the one actually used in the earlier Danish-dubbed episodes.

Weird. The entire original dub is already fully available on SkyShowtime (which Paramount currently owns a 50% stake in) in case they ever need to air the older episodes on Nickelodeon.

Someone here was really worried that the iCarly/Victorious/Sam & Cat trio would be removed from Nickelodeon Global. Even back then, I said it was most likely only a temporary change due to the SpongeBob event. Seems I was right after all. There hasn't been any news about it since, but in both August and September, the schedule will be back to normal, with all three shows airing as usual.

I think they only redubbed them for the promo.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol
