Looking back, anyone remember the days when Disney animated non-preschool half hour shows used to have actual scenes playing during the credits.

This started in 2006 with The Emperor's New School, The Replacements, American Dragon Jake Long season 2, and Kim Possible season 4. This tradition continued into the following shows.

  • The Emperor's New School
  • American Dragon Jake Long season 2
  • The Replacements
  • Kim Possible season 4
  • Phineas & Ferb
  • Fish Hooks
  • Gravity Falls
  • Wander Over Yonder
  • The 7D
While a lot of the Jetix and Disney XD originals from the late 2000s/early 2010s such as Yin Yang Yo, Kick Buttowski Suburban Daredevil, Motorcity, and Tron Uprising didn't use that (The 7D being the only one that was a Disney XD original from start to end to use the stinger credits), it was consistently that way for the ones that started on Disney Channel at first.

This eventually got abandoned in 2015 when every animated show got moved to Disney XD at that point, with only the second and final seasons of Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, and The 7D still using those credits. Even when they switched back to putting animated shows on Disney Channel again in 2018, they still never used the stinger credits for the likes of DuckTales 2017, Big City Greens, Big Hero 6 The Series, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Milo Murphy's Law season 2, Star vs the Forces of Evil season 4, Amphibia, and others.

Anyone's thoughts on those credits they used to do? Does anyone miss them?

I've always liked the stinger credits (though it tended to be annoying when they'd focus on one segment, thus leaving the other segment of the half-hour in the dust), but it never hit me until now that the Disney XD originals never had them.

If I recall, The 7D was actually an attempt to make a show for Disney XD, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior all at once, so I only partially see it as a DXD original (and we can also clarify Phineas and Ferb as one, since they would switch premieres between DC and XD several times).

Speaking of, Phineas and Ferb brought these back for the 2025 revival likely out of tradition's sake, as Milo Murphy's Law and Hamster and Gretel both had the traditional type credits.

They tried to stick them out as a unique feature. CN tried that in the mid-2000s but it was unsuccessful.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
