International Disney Networks Thread Part 17

They used quite a bit of English text that everybody understands (although the English skills of continental Europeans are often overstated I can't lie, but it's just a few words while DC Asia was very English-heavy).
Some early Ribbon era DC UK breaks (the red button prompt from Bounce is still used here):

They misspelt Lizzie McGuire in the ECP…also muted the Disney Channel closing logo

DC UK had some of spelling mistakes from time to time, like Thats So Raven, Teachers Pet

Said that, I believe that Disney Channel closing logo was muted in many EMEA countries, too.
I remember it like that in Italy

DC UK in the Shooting Star era went a step further and removed all of the DC closing logos (2000, 2002 and 2007) from older shows

Dewd, that's no TV Atlântico, that's Strong Bad level. Or maybe it was the system that had faulty apostrophes?

DC PT also cut all closing logos until like 2010/2011

No mention of prime time shows on the DC DE one unlike DC IT
No mention of their live continuity either.

Either they didn't have from the start, or it started later on.
In a way or the other, it seems Live @ Five (their presentation block) also shut down earlier than other European feeds, maybe already in 2003.

Pay TV was quite unpopular back then in Germany and live presentation is expensive, so it made some sense

Nope, it was already gone by the time the Bounce era came along in November 2002.

My guess is that they didn't exactly know what to do with it in the new brand direction for the channel and/or engagement with the block itself took a sharp decline that year when the internet became slightly more mainstream. It's funny to think that DC Germany dropped out of the IVC bandwagon very quickly compared to the others; most of the DCI networks after the fact already dropped theirs midway through Bounce, while LATAM continued their Zapping Zone block well into 2012.

Pay TV was quite unpopular back then in Germany...
The fact pay TV was very unpopular in Germany back then (and probably still unpopular even to this day, which is most likely why DC Germany became a free-TV channel in 2014) still makes me wonder why Atomic Betty (which, granted, actually debuted on the pay-TV version of Disney Channel Germany in 2005 during the Bounce era) never aired on free-to-air TV in Germany even to this day.

Just like CN Africa I believe DC ROA also has a timezone problem

I believe it's in fact using CAT time as a base despite the feed not airing in south Africa not only would this explain it restarting at 5:00AM in West Africa and 7:00AM in east africa but in central Africa it would be at 6:00AM (the same time most other emea feeds restart) it also explains why things like movies do not air at the intended time the promos say and that the time the movie airs perfectly aligns with CAT time instead of WAT or EAT (from what I have observed from watching the channel in Nigeria)

even if they don't say CAT time outright and instead say PM/AM time in the promos to me it's quite obvious they are using CAT time

and of course there are no timeshifts unlike some other non Jr Spanish feeds

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
