International Nickelodeon Thread Part 17

@BloggerHU There's a third season of Rock Paper Scissors (10 episodes, like season two), which is set to debut in the US later this month.

I know it's aired on Nick UK, but I'd have expected My Weird School to air internationally by now.
it's already aired in Israel on Nickelodeon, which is surprising since most (subtitled) live action shows moved to TeenNick in 2013

What a surprise!
I'm genuinely confused as the channel was operated directly in Italy. And the Italian side of Paramount got dismissed or is getting there. Who is going to operate the channel, it will become even more of an automated mess from Amsterdam?

I thought it was being sold

The insider said that for now it stays (in pain?) but that things with the kids channels will change in the future (see the WBD - Paramount fusion if it goes home)?

Good since if Super! shuts down, then there will be no Nickelodeon shows on Italian DTT except for the Nick Jr. ones.

It seems like an "obsessive race" to see when Super! actually shuts down over on the Italian forums, at least among some members.
I don't understand what is gained after the channel will be gone, and I'm obviously not a fan of any WBD-Paramount supermerger (and even if there was a merger, I think the kids department would be sold due to competition issues).

For me, it is not a "problematic" channel; clearly a shadow of what it used to be, I don't care that much, but I don't think there is much to do with that slot that could allure other broadcasters to buy it, especially in an age where kids linear TV is clearly struggling.

I'm one of those, but only because Paramount really ran it to the ground by removing its (iconic) mascotte, Marino. (And I still side-eye DeAgostini a tiny bit for this. Even if I don't think DeA back when they sold the channel knew that things would get that diiire... If only Alpha wasn't a failure, perhaps things would have gone differently...)

But there's nothing to gain about its closure, again, the kids TV market in general is a shadow of what it used to be.
Of course, it is not a DeA channel and ideally should have not been acquired by such a greedy company in the first place.

The channel does more or less what it says on the tin.

I'm neither losing any of my hair over its closure, nor I'm very happy for it going.

As I see things, a closure for Super! would be its breath of relief. Like, I don't lose my nights if the channel stays there, but if it closes, it finally rests.
(But then, you also have nothing to fill that space.
As I do theorize, if the merger gets to realize, the channel will have to close in some way, also because the resulting entity would have a sulprus of LCNs. I can see some months of "stall" with the channel operated from Amsterdam or something before its demise.)

I read "clogging" not "struggling" yet still associated it to the linear crisis.

Nickelodeon Global Unlimited (CEE) in August new and returning series:
- The Thundermans
- Rock, Paper, Scissors
- Big Nate
- Deer Squad
- Pinky Malinky
- Bedtime Stories with Ryan

Well, this marks the end of Nickelodeon shows in India and South Asia, because Nickelodeon HD+ started simulcasting the SD channel, excluding Teleshopping will be on SD feed.

At least the Nick Jr. shows still airs on linear television in India and South Asia and many of Nick's shows are still on JioHotstar, including shows that otherwise never aired on Nick HD+. And at least the Cartoon Network shows still air in India and South Asia through CN HD+.

Apparently Nick HD+ in India is just a simulcast of the main Nickelodeon channel now, meaning Indian viewers have lost access to a lot of 'global' Nickelodeon shows.

This is the greatest punishment for the region. If Animegamer was still active, he'd criticize that.

That's dissapointing :(
But there is an alternative to watch them on JioCinema.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
