Whatever. FOX Kids and Jetix nostalgia is heavily rose-tinted. It was when Jetix took over and the same when Disney XD came.

I'll give an example, Jetix LA. A feed that basically became the same 3 shows back to back until Disney XD.

Yeah, especially Fairly OddParents. Nothing tells me why did Dave the Barbarian, which by the looks of it, should have remained a Disney Channel exclusive, made the rerun jump to Jetix. There, it unironically became a cult classic.

i think its good that disney channel germany has a family channel approach something which all the other feeds have dropped for many years however i can understand why the german people are not happy with the recent changes made to the channel with the whole Mein Morgen thing i think there needs to be a balance

to me the germany feed is hit or miss i think it does have the ability to be a great feed but it is held back by its missteps like bluey spam or still no english track in 2026

DC DE's sitcom block (yeah, the Germans sure love watching dubbed US sitcoms) also seems to work well. They're basically doing some sort of ProSieben formula. ProSieben used to be known for its abundance of imported US sitcoms (Simpsons and otherwise) in the run-up to local progarmming in prime time.

There's a reason why Bluey spams. It's the most popular kids show on streaming with a billion watch hours every year. Why wouldn't they air it on linear where numbers are lower? Even with the most spamming shows, the situation isn't as bad as Friends spam-a-thons. Cable just needs their hit shows to overall look good in the ratings books.

I miss DC UK sometimes, sure it wasn't the best feed but I feel like the DC DE formula could work with all of the sitcoms the Mouse owns.

About the Bluey spam, i think it's partially on the fact that it's a successful show. Even DC US does it.

thats why i dont get it when some people say disney channel germany is barely even a disney channel when the family channel approach they're trying to do has been done on other disney channel feeds in the past even the US

Bluey is a popular show but I think less reruns would be nice give other shows a chance they also need to calm down on all these bluey events

Quite simply, DC DE is the closest thing to what DC PT was at the beginning.

Bluey is so big that the spam is justified on Disney Channel. Just like it is to justify Friends, SpongeBob, Gumball and The Big Bang Theory when it comes to modern cable. Numbers are only up if they keep airing the shows people want to watch. Whether it's getting repeative or not.

The situation isn't as bad as DC US which is going to air Bluey non-stop weekdays at 4 to 8p from next week.

Mm, everything or almost so in Israel seems pretty "nationalized", so I pretty much doubt it.

It's because of the CSBC.

In an AU, it would have launched in 2001 (maybe only on Yes amd later on HOT) while Jetix would become Disney XD.

DC IL would also have a heavy amount of local content, including a Zapping Zone-Studio Disney-esque program, as well as the inevitable local series, because those are CSBC requirements.
