Ren And Stimpy Reboot For Comedy Central

The tragically sad thing is though we do live in an era of entertainment where sadly companies specifically a lot of the executive head studio heads have found ways to take projects in some status of production and cancel them for tax write offs only THEY benefit from that results in a lot of projects never really seeing the light of day. And I think studios are especially invested in doing this if they think the project is going to turn out crummy and a "waste of time" to even market anyway so stuff like an already poorly received reboot/revival of Ren and Stimpy just from word of mouth seems like something they'd take behind the shed and give a chopping too. I mean it's pretty clear Comedy Central like many channels right now is fine vegging with about 90% recycled material and only relying on a few stable shows for any fresh interest. Which yeah ironically most are either shows also started or revived from the 90's but ones that still have value to them now unlike this take of R&S.

And yeah I do want to see this new take as well for good or bad to see exactly what lessons were possibly learned from adult party cartoon and which ones probably weren't but yeah this isn't going to be a case of someone coming in to save this project like it was Coyote or Acme or anything.

Whether the new show is any good or not, you have to admit those are some beautiful backgrounds.

In another universe, David Feiss would be the ideal R&S reboot showrunner

- He was one of John K's closest associates.
- He worked on the original show (Big House Blues and Season 1)
- He left before the Nick firing, so he didn't have to take a side during that mess
- Related to the above, he's in good standing with both the Spumco loyalists and those who stayed with Games
- He's a veteran with showrunning and directing experience.
- Most important of all, he knows how to run a show that allows creative freedom without being late or overbudget or tweaking execs TOO much.

EDIT: Oh, and he's scandal free. He's squeaky clean.

I can tell you the artwork is easily the best thing about the reboot by far.

According to Thad, the original showrunner was going to be someone from Phineas & Ferb, but he was taken off the project and replaced with Jenny Jaffe (who apparently also worked on the Rugrats reboot, according to her website).

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
