Cartoonito - News & Discussion Thread

with cartoonito back, I wouldn't be surprised if they bring acme nights next
Highly doubt ACME Night would come back. Adult Swim doesn’t really need it since they can just fill up those slots with the Fox shows.

i wonder if we will get a Cartoonito FAST channel on hulu/Disney+?

Cartoonito return update: Barney's World returns on Fridays.

Considering that Warner Discover has moved Turma Da Monica/Monica's Gang to Discovery Family in it's home in Brazil. This should good opportunity for Cartoonito to add it see how Monica would do over there in the states.

It won't do anything. Cartoonito literally only lasts half an hour here, and CN only brought it back just to air the remainder of their contractually-obligated shows.

The best chance it has airing in the States would be on another network, or a streaming service.

As of yesterday it turned out Cartoonito shows aired unbranded. The block itself already is gone, no bumpers, no branding. It aired under Cartoon Network.

So I guess the Cartoonito block actually is dead in the U.S., but the ongoing shows connected to it (Batwheels and Bugs Bunny Builders) will continue to air all of their remaining episodes on Cartoon Network there nonetheless.

Sad. I really like(d) it. It was a genuine effort imo. Meanwhile overseas it does very well...

The block may be gone, but its shows are still there.

A limited amount of Tickle-U leftovers continued after the block ended.

Cartoonito is gone again starting Memorial Day.
Fittingly, the final broadcast on May 22 is the Barney's World episode "Lights Out."
Good grief, Cartoonito goes up and down recently. When will they ever learn?

I'm happy Cartoonito shows managed to get airtime for almost half a decade though. We knew it's days were numbered from the day we knew it only started airing 2 hours a day. The question was just when they are gone. The block itself was gone but I'd say a 30 minute mini block counted as Cartoonito, just with CN branding.

Yet in Europe it's doing well with its own channel. How?
Because most of the lineup is filled with non-preschool shows. Cartoonito in Europe basically what Boomerang was. The name change happened so it can be similar to CN. Both are sister networks after all.

Maybe the newer Boomerang, but it still has a lot of toddler friendly shows. Similar ones the block had in US.

Chainsmoker Cat is one of the grossest anime I've ever seen, especially in the first episode.

Very happy that Mountain Dew Baja Blast is now available in Taco Bell UK, having been available since three days ago.
The only European country that still sells RHD Opel cars is Ireland.
