I don't think ratings are a concern for this channel. Carriage is so low Neilsen doesn't track it.

Primo/VME just doesn't have a great track record of picking up additional seasons. They only ever aired the first seasons of Beyblade Metal Fusion and Bakugan Battle Brawlers, despite those both being older shows they ran for a long time. No more World Trigger or Captain Tsubasa, though those had been off the schedule for years by the time the follow-up seasons were available.

I think GGO Football might've been one of the rare cases of them getting a second season that they bought separately.

Maybe Primo TV could add something new soon like Sidekick or 6teen (both were made by Nelvana so it might be a good fit as they aired shows from the studio).

Networks have to pay Nielsen to measure the rating and if they know network has low viewership, so they aren't going to pay million dollars that can be used to pay for acquired shows or cover on operation cost.

Vme Expands Vme Kids Animation Offerings and Will Add Nearly 500 Hours of Programming for Primo in 2026

For Primo, Vogelmann mentioned that they are finalizing “nearly 500 hours of programming that we will launch throughout 2026, which represents a great opportunity to introduce numerous new series for our children’s and youth audience.”

PGS Entertainment Signs Multi-Series Deal with VME’s Primo TV in the U.S.

PGS Entertainment, a leader in children’s animation, has signed a new deal with VME Media, for Zak Storm and Leon, and renewed its partnership for Miss Moon to Primo TV, VME’s English-language kids’ channel available across the U.S. The three series will air in English starting January 2026.

I noticed my cable box started recording Droners yesterday, I had it set to record series but it had stopped doing that for awhile, I checked out one of the recordings and it seems they are starting to premiere season 2 on Primo now.

Wow, with this clarified, this leaves zero explanation as to why they never aired season two of Droners. Unless the ratings for season 1 were exceptionally bad, perhaps. I wouldn't know about any of this since I don't have Xfinity, but apparently it wasn't treated particularly well by them in the first place. That show is great and deserves to be seen by far more people.

No idea if you still care, but as Linus and Primo's website stated, Droners Season 2 premiered on January 19th. TV Insider's guide doesn't list episode titles, so I had no idea.

They added Jade Armor earlier this month along with Angelo Rules. They are on fire with the pick ups this year.
