International Nickelodeon Thread Part 16

to answer question two, from what i was told a while ago, during the early 2010s (once it relaunched in turkey) nickelodeon turkey's sd feed was a part of nickelodeon africa, which explains why the screenbug was on the top right despite being textless as i believe that was also the case with nickelodeon africa

what i truly dont get is why a few of the early 2010s dubs became lost media even if they were previously online, robot and monster and the monsters vs aliens series are two prime examples of early 2010s nickelodeon turkish dubs which used to be available online but are now lost, technically that isnt the fault of nickelodeon (more so people not archiving them) but still
Türkiye broadcast officially ended on August 31, 2011. However, we have had a European broadcast since August 31, 2011. You can see it in the video here. Also, when they resumed broadcasting with a Turkish audio track on March 1, 2012, a Kung Fu Panda promo was available (they were referring to the Knockout episodes).

Nick SD was Nick Africa (same logic as DC MEA including Turkey before 2012 - I think so they could apply Islamic standards-based bans if called for and maybe skip out on holidays), Nick HD was Nick CEE, and dubbing was handled by Nick CEE. 1997 is indeed not correct IIRC.
Even when DC MEA broadcasts were available, I was seeing a lot of Halloween-related content. For the bans to be enforced, it needs to be a local broadcast and free-to-air (DC MEA left on January 12, 2012, and a local broadcast opened; CN has been broadcasting in Turkey since 2008).
Another thing about Nick Turkey: a channel came to Turkey during the period Nick was closed using an orange logo in a similar font, called Minika. It split into two channels (Go - more actionny shows, and Çocuk - girly shows and preschool shows) around the time Nick relaunched. Maybe they were cashing in on that like trying to attract Nick's previous viewers?
Nickelodeon and Minika are very different channels. And there's an error in your writing. Nickelodeon Turkey ended its broadcasts on August 31, 2011; Minika opened on January 28, 2011, and split into two (Go/Çocuk) on January 28, 2012. It tried to attract viewers by purchasing Blazing Teens and Flash & Dash from Nickelodeon.

Didn't CNS produce ONLY THE PILOT?
Technically, the Pinky Malinky pilot was actually produced by Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe (Dandelion Studios Limited, later superseded by Great Marlborough Productions Limited which is now Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe Limited)—later renamed to Cartoon Network Studios Europe and today known as Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe—the production company better known for The Amazing / Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.

Yeah, the pilot was a British production by Cartoon Network, while the full series was an American production by Nickelodeon.

Honestly, it should 100.0% say "© Viacom International Inc." for the actual Pinky Malinky series (which Paramount owns, and which is what's actually airing on Nicktoons Global). Why that's not the case is beyond me.

Weird to see that, even if the merger isn't approved yet lol

I watched old recordings of Nickelodeon Europe and Nickelodeon Russia from 1998–2004, and it feels like they were two identical channels in terms of promos (I don’t know about the schedule). The only difference was that one had English text and the other had Russian

I think they are starting to close channels from now in order to also save money at the same time, so that when the WBD merger finishes, the "hole" in debt won't be that high anymore.

Prepare for more channel shutdowns.
I can already see most Nickelodeon feeds shutting down (i.e. only UK/Ireland, USA, Australia FTA, Germany/Austria, Italy (and even then there's no guarantee for that one), Israel, Poland and Spain feeds will remain), as well as TeenNick Poland (that is, earlier than it currently seems) and even Nick Jr (unless they intend on shutting down Cartoonito instead post-merger)
Didn't CNS produce ONLY THE PILOT?
That's exactly what I was going to say...
I'm pretty sure the WBD side of things won't be happy about it and will order the definitive and permanent removal of copyright (fraud) banners before or by the time of the merger...

Not just for Pinky Malinky, it should for about 99.9% of their programming. "United Plankton Pictures, Inc.", "Schneider's Bakery Productions, Inc.", "Cartoon Network" (like, really?) and "Nickelodeon International" (actually the formal name for the Global compound) do not hold the copyrights to their respective shows. If they don't really intend to actually show the actual copyright information and only want to transcribe the vanity logos, what's stopping them from doing as the US feed (have the proper closing credits transcribed on the lower corner of the screen and then show the actual vanity logos on a box on the same corner - or at the very least only do the latter) instead? It's even a more "conventional" excuse for not showing the actual closing credits.

Nickelodeon Portugal continuity from October and December 2011.

The good old days, even though these came with a catch as the breaks were inserted during the raw feed.

And there were some times where they rejoined when a show intro was already on.

It’s strange why Nickelodeon wrote Cartoon Network Studios. The management does have the documents, and they clearly know that this is not Cartoon Network Studios. Maybe it was a hint that this cartoon will be moved under the Cartoon Network structure. I remember how they censored the CN logo in Teen Titans Go (???), and the CNN logo in the Superman movie, ahead of the transfer of the channels to Discovery.

Actually, it seems to be that the banners are automated, and they wrongly picked up the info from the pilot. This comment further explains what seems to happen with those filthy banners:

Pretty sure both of those were intentional creative decisions from the people working on those two works, and had nothing to do with any planned split of Warner Bros. Discovery.

The channel wars are over.
Not quite. Remember that the proposed merger of Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount, a Skydance Corporation is still not a done deal. It needs approval from U.S. and global regulators first, which hasn't happened so far.

It's not censoring. It's disguising. On TT GO! they labelled CN as The Network.

Back then, Nickelodeon in the Nordics was actually separated into three different feeds, unlike Cartoon Network and Disney Channel which have always had the same feed for all Nordic countries.

You had the Denmark feed (with Danish audio), the Sweden feed (with Swedish audio) and the Norway/Finland feed (which at the time had Norwegian and Finnish audio, but ditched the latter after the Finnish-language Nickelodeon was unexpectedly replaced with a Finnish-language Nick Jr. in early 2013).

The Norway/Finland feed also had Danish audio because some TV providers in Denmark used it for programming instead of the separate Denmark feed.

Later in 2021 or so, they merged all of the Scandinavian feeds into a single unified feed, which in 2026 was replaced with Nickelodeon Global Unlimited.

I don't think the copyright banners are copyright fraud??? What
