International Nickelodeon Thread Part 16

Today, a few weeks after the first tests and a few months after every other country moved over to Global, NickToons Poland finally started using automation for every single promo:

Copyright banners haven't been changed - they're still airing with English titles.
Nothing changed on Nick Jr. Poland either.

Also, the regular NickToons announcers are back in the new Patrick Star Show promo, so no more AI or other temporary announcers

Of the two you mentioned, the only cartoon that never made it here on any channel in the Philippines was O'Grady.

Meanwhile, another cartoon that aired on The N in the US (albeit for a short time) that never aired here on any channel in the Philippines was Girlstuff/Boystuff (which however in Germany, was on Disney Channel as well as Super RTL).
I’m not even sure if Daria even finished airing in The Phillippines
Did they even air Is It Fall Yet or Is It College Yet?

So this is soft localization?

Also, at least the AI announcers were a temporary solution

It was recorded last year, at the same time when the Nickelodeon version. I know this, bcs our announcer on the Patrick Star Show is the old one (Bálint Rada), and he was replaced last November by the Nickelodeon announcer (Csaba Tokaji).

So will Nicktoons Poland air the Pinky Malinky episodes skipped by Nicktoons Global?

i dont understand the history of nick turkey
1. closing in late 2011???? but the winx specials exist in turkish with a dub THAT IS COMPLETELY MADE BY NICK WITH NO RELATION TO OTHER TURKISH WINX DUBS and those specials only aired like twice on nick cee and their similar feeds
2. continuity videos of nick turkey from the 2010s are textless but they have the bug in the top right unlike cee
3. nick on cnbc-e is underdocumented
4. December 1997 seems incorrect
to answer question two, from what i was told a while ago, during the early 2010s (once it relaunched in turkey) nickelodeon turkey's sd feed was a part of nickelodeon africa, which explains why the screenbug was on the top right despite being textless as i believe that was also the case with nickelodeon africa

what i truly dont get is why a few of the early 2010s dubs became lost media even if they were previously online, robot and monster and the monsters vs aliens series are two prime examples of early 2010s nickelodeon turkish dubs which used to be available online but are now lost, technically that isnt the fault of nickelodeon (more so people not archiving them) but still

We have a lot more lost dubs, including the ones made for SIC

@RandomMe Wasn't Knuckles aired on Nickelodeon Latin America for a short while?

With content drying up whilst Paramount is trying to figure out what's what, there's probably a good chance it will air on Nick internationally.

Weirdly, the series went to ITVX (ITV's free streaming service) after its SVOD premiere on P+ in the UK.

Obviously, HU/CZ/RO/BG audiotracks on Nicktoons PL are still active.

No. It was announced, but was pulled at the last minute, don't know why

Nick SD was Nick Africa (same logic as DC MEA including Turkey before 2012 - I think so they could apply Islamic standards-based bans if called for and maybe skip out on holidays), Nick HD was Nick CEE, and dubbing was handled by Nick CEE. 1997 is indeed not correct IIRC.

I don't think Nick arrived to Turkey in 1997, that would be over-ambitious
It did come to Russia in 1998, but that does make sense because pirated Nick was allegedly available (although I am confused as to how Nick UK and especially US were receivable, that doesn't really make sense) and after the Cold War, American companies tried hard to get their foot in the door of Russia, so it just makes sense. Turkey just doesn't parallel.

I feel like the relaunch was indeed earlier than spring 2012. (By the way, the 4 specials are the only time Nick as a company handled the release of Winx in Turkey, it was otherwise handled by Filma Ltd.)

CaboTV Madeirense bootlegged Nick UK off Astra in 1993 (ironically replacing TCC)

From 1998, the official Nickelodeon RU arrived, and what existed before that were pirate broadcasts of Nickelodeon UK, although I read somewhere that in 1988 (or 1989) there were broadcasts of Nickelodeon USA when the management of MTV Europe came to negotiate the launch of the channel in the USSR. But the pirate broadcast of Nickelodeon USA may be too far-fetched, because the wiki cites Nick Rewind RU, and they may have simply translated the general description there.

The 1980s are mentioned by the YouTube channel Nick Rewind RU in its description, but Nickelodeon RU itself has always marked its birthday on air and on social media as its launch in 1998.

In this thread, I saw a message saying that Nick HD CEE was first available in the CIS and Poland. In fact, it was Nick Europe (now Global Unlimited) in HD, because the channel had no ads, while Nick CEE had ads

In the CIS, the scheme is like this
SD: Nick Ru (1998-2004)->Nick Euro (2004-2010)->Nick CEE (2010-2012)->Nick Ru (2012-2022)->Nick Euro (2022-2025)-> Nick Asia (2025-)
HD: Nick Euro (2011-2025)->Nick Asia (2025-)

Another thing about Nick Turkey: a channel came to Turkey during the period Nick was closed using an orange logo in a similar font, called Minika. It split into two channels (Go - more actionny shows, and Çocuk - girly shows and preschool shows) around the time Nick relaunched. Maybe they were cashing in on that like trying to attract Nick's previous viewers?

Somehow, it actually did:

I wasn't aware of that, just added the sources to the Wikipedia article.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
