Old International Fox Kids/Jetix Channels Memorial Thread

Remember when i said that Iggy Arbuckle never aired on K2? Turn out that it wasn't the case: IGGY PIGGY RANGER | K2
According to an old schedule i found, the show only aired in the morning, having two slots for 09:00 and 11:00 respectivley.

Some continuities from 1999 would be extremely rare.

Is anyone else sad at how poorly Jetix Netherlands treated Atomic Betty? They premiered it in August 2006 but never aired it again after November 2007. 15 months in total. And the dub has not rerun ever since.

Yeah, it's definitely sad, but to me, the fact that it never aired on German free-to-air television (it only aired on the pay-television version of Disney Channel in Germany as well as Toon Disney Germany) is definitely sadder. At least though, both Disney Channel Germany and Toon Disney Germany treated it very well (DC Germany premiered it in 2005, during the Bounce era).

Here Atomic Betty aired on Cartoon Network for season 1 and RaiSat Smash Girls and Rai Gulp for season 2 and 3 (i say season 3 cause i remember seeing the Italian title card for it on a Facebook post and it has the Rai Gulp screenbug).
It was like a Rocket Monkeys situation, execpt the fact that we never got season 2 and 3 of the latter here...

Cartoon Network premiered Atomic Betty in the Netherlands on February 5th, 2007, but in English without subtitles.

It looks like Jetix Scandinavia aired Braceface in English with subtitles, both in Sweden (according to this video) and in Denmark (according to Wikipedia), so probably also in Norway. I guess it makes sense given the nature of the show.

Braceface actually was dubbed into Danish though. The Danish dub aired on DR.

And interestingly unlike in the Netherlands, Cartoon Network Nordic actually aired Atomic Betty dubbed into Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. Only season 1 apparently aired, however.

Don't take promos for granted.

Often, promos can be undubbed (for laziness, especially on pan-linguistic feeds), but the show itself can be dubbed

CN CEE also aired Atomic Betty dubbed into Polish, Hungarian and Romanian as well, at least season 1. Same goes for CN Spain (season 1 aired on the Spanish feed while seasons 2 and 3 aired on different channels such as La 1 and Disney Channel).

Reminds me of the time SIC promoted Monster House for a post-Halloween showing, it was subtitled in the promo but the movie was dubbed. In 2011. And in 2012, Me and My Monsters on RTP 2 had a subtitled premiere promo, but the show itself was dubbed.

False expectations on both cases I mentioned. In 2010 you still had subtitled Basil Brush from 2003ish on RTP 2 and in 2012 they were on track to air everything dubbed on the kids block.

Wikipedia says it aired in English on Jetix and in Danish on DR.

True :)

The fact Cartoon Network outside the US only aired season 1 is why i think Netherlands only ever got season 2 of Atomic Betty in Dutch on Jetix, and not in English on Cartoon Network.

Jetix.se also claimed it aired in English: "Braceface har engelskt tal och är textat på svenska."

VT4 aired Atomic Betty in Dutch from November (?) 2006 until somewhere in 2009.

As I said before, Disney Channel Germany has aired all three seasons of Atomic Betty (including the third season, Mission: Earth, and the show's Christmas special, The No-L Nine).

I think DC Japan was the only DCI feed that aired the show (Germany, Spain, Portugal and Japan) that didn't air anything from the show beyond season 1 (only the first season was dubbed in Japanese, and CN Japan also had it prior to DC Japan). Interestingly, DC Germany was also the only Disney Channel international feed that had the show from the start, as I also mentioned before, which is different from how DC Italy and Australia was one of the few DCI feeds to have Even Stevens from the start (Nick Asia had Even Stevens first in 2002, then DC Asia had it in 2004).
