What I like about this episode...
They kept Doomsday creepy yet credible in that reality by not showing too much of him. If we had gotten a real good view of that TV budget costume I'm fearful it will look like something copied from Toxic Avenger or stolen out the garbage behind the alley of...
That's what happens when you ripoff ideas without adding to them or attempting to make them your own. There's nothing new or surprising that captures the audiences attention from what's already been done so previous attempts will usually view as superior.
Maybe the writers will have Clark or someone take her to task on it. That she was full of crap in the video message saying the breakup was all about destiny when in fact it was her shifting focus off her fear that being with Clark somehow indirectly lead to her being turned into a vegetable...
I agree with your point. Kryptonite is used waaaaaay too much on this show and I could, off the top of my head, think of 5 different times when it was so OBVIOUSLY unneccessary to do so had the scenes been written better. They should just be done with it already. It became a crutch and lost it's...
How bout that folks? Some nice special effects and uh...waffles happened?
They got their powers because of a solar eclipse...and that means...help me out here? Something important, I guess??
Daphne and Parkman fell in love because of umm...hey look! Rabbits!!:o...
There is no improving MTV.
It is what it is, just the way the people want it. For better or worse it's become an entire network of guilty pleasures that caters to the basest human desire in entertainment. To watch others make fools of themselves so we can look down on them, laugh and...
I caught this ep. 20 mins in so if I say anything that doesn't make sense, that's why.
I was sort of surprised Sarah never mentioned to Derek that the future he came from wasn't set. "No fate but what we make for ourselves". Reese told her and made her memorize to give her hope, or...
From what we've seen so far can anyone make sense of Brainiacs plan?
Steal the Crystal-check
Slowly take over Chloe-check
Get her to cover up Clark's secret by killing someone-check check:eek:
Mail?? , the Crystal to Clark as a makeshift PZ projector to get him...
I think he meant to say he didn't see that scene coming before it actually played out in the ep. At the point when it was happening, then of course, but Smallville didn't neccessarily telegraph the Brainiac takeover from way early on like they're usually prone to do.
I believe you're right...
No, the worst was when they pinched every Dracula movie, teen witch, Buffy-esque, cheesy horror flick cliche they could find and dumped it all into the now classic debacle known as season 4. :ack:
But back to this ep. I also liked the hint of fear in Jor-el's voice as Brainiac started to take...
Really, I haven't seen that movie. But yeah, Smallville has stolen from everyone and everything in their time on the air. Even themselves...repeatedly.
But wow, this just shows you the possibilities this show has to be truly entertaining when they just stick to the mythology. All that...
I agree. The actor they used for young Clark really did a good job with what little screen time and lines he had. I wonder if they could bring him back in the Legion ep.
Brings up an interesting question though. How long have Chloe and Clark been friends? I remember him saying...
OOOOOOOh!!!  DOOMSDAY is COMING people! So you better watch out Kal-el...you better not cry. Better not pout and I'm telling you why. Doomday is freakin' COMing to toooown!!
I'm actually excited about this.:D :D
Although, it does officially stamp Chloe, Lana and Lois with the "capital "F" for Fool label" :shame: since they've known him for alot longer and didn't figure it out nearly that fast...or at all for that matter. Chloe and Lana had to be shown, while poor, dense Lois still doesn't have a clue...
The rest of the heroes should also be worried that Arthur now has the power to go nuclear and survive it. So if they ever manage to back him into a corner he's definitely proven to be ruthless and coldhearted enough to take out a major city full of people just so he could live to fight...
