Funny that this has happened to pretty much every Nickelodeon movie that comes out on streaming.
I don't know what's wrong with their security or who they trust with their files but it just keeps happening.
It'd be cool if they put all cable channels together in the new combined streaming service.
Cable channels never really got a fair shot having not been able to migrate to smartphones and tablets but these guys own the most popular cable brands. Nickelodeon, Discovery it's all there.
I'd say...
I think this was probably going to happen eventually it was just a matter of time. The damage done to this industry was years before this acquisition with the streaming wars and everyone conspiring in it to kill cable, the theater business and home video. A business model that worked for a new...
Don't know how you'd fill out an entire convention at those prices.
I get being popular but... Butch isn't that popular. It's basically just Comic Con but more educational.
I think I can go on a long ramble about every reason why I think Pixar is in the position it is in.
There's just a number of reasons some of which they cannot control others they very well can control.
One issue echoes problems 2D animation had in the early 2000s. thing is just the glut of...
I hope Netflix doesn't get it.
They'd probably just keep it for the IPs and sell all the cable stuff. The film business would probably be fine since they've been interested in putting their stuff in theatres these past few years but it would be a net negative for original content because...
It's not like things are going to get better for Cartoon Network and their properties under WBD leadership so I don't think I really mind.
and talking about monopolies: Disney is still bigger than both these companies combined and so is Netflix. Google and YouTube are like a big giant...
I watched a bit of it didn't have many strong feels towards it. Perhaps I didn't like the animation or the art style. I do like that the premise is something different.
but with it being completely episodic maybe it lacked a sense of purpose that could have probably made up for it's flaws. It...
Looking back it wasn't as bad as I thought it was.
I mildly enjoyed it being more of a spiritual successor to Dexter and PPG (more than Time Squad was) despite not being as good as either in their prime. It's very visual cartoon especially for something made in early flash and it still stand...
Calling it Cyma 2.0 is pretty accurate even as far back as like 2009 they were more concerned with having the biggest brands and turning things into a franchise than they were concerned with original content with a lot of it being spinoffs from movies, from previous shows, popular brands and...
CN always had a reputation of having filler shows both in the afternoon and on Saturday mornings. It wasn't a new thing for them to burn off certain things. Synder era kept plenty of their SatAM anime/action toy brand shows unadvertised as well as airing imports in the afternoons.
but another...
I doubt this is going to damage Genndy's career as much as many people think. If this thing went to theatres maybe it would get a more controversy but this is getting dumped on Netflix which has Big Mouth on it and people understate the appeal this kind of thing has to normies.
Btw, still...
I think a lot of Cartoon Network's problems have always been tied to parent company Warner Bros which has always had problems and mismanagement. The article seems to validate this idea. They've been last in the ratings for a while but sometimes they occasionally climb on top of Disney in the...
I think Batwheels has been doing well on the streaming service going by what Micheal Ouweleen said about Batwheels being a success but I guess preschool content hasn't been doing well on Cartoon Network proper.
Still many more people probably watch on MAX than on the actual channel so they're...
