"Batman: Caped Crusader (Amazon Prime)" Animated Series News & Discussion Part 3 (Spoilers)

Nitpick but I don't think Dave Franco is confirmed; the Empire article says he's seemingly the voice actor for Riddler and point out a cast list hasn't been announced yet. I'd wait until one comes out. They also mention Firefly and I don't think he was confirmed either unless it's a mix-up with Roxy Rocket.

If Rupert Thorne wasn't in the first season, Thorne (presuming that is her), could have been a gender-flipped version of the character. :P
Dave's voice is easily to identify. So Empire realized that was him voicing Riddler.

Man he's honestly having a good year with voice acting again with Hoppers and Forgotten Island.

Is it just me or does Joker sound like he's being voiced by John DiMaggio?

I'm not sure, but it would not be the first time!
Unfortunately it's not him. They basically gave him a different voice than what the finale had.

In a way they're approaching him into well, Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs.

I wonder with the announcement of the Absolute Batman animated series that this show will not continue past season 2.

I doubt Absolute Batman would contribute to Caped Cruader not getting another season. There's already Bat-Fam (and to a lesser extent Batwheels) all going on at the same time and each one brings something different to the table.

The fact there's three ongoing Batman cartoons is wild to me. I personally would love it if we get a Batman animated series that's hour long like Invincible on Prime Video and having it a cross between the Arkham games meets Breaking Bad.

I do wonder if there's going to be a press release revealing the voice cast this season (or Hamish Linklater revealing it :p).

Will we also get the same villain promos?

I went ahead and posted a page speculating on Season Two of Batman: Caped Crusader. Of particular note, I've got some theories on the Joker's face and the identity of the Riddler's lady friend.

I've seen some speculation that Man-Bat is actually just a Fear Toxin hallucination and the "zombie" is their take on Solomon Grundy.

Although it's funny how they gender-flip Mad Hatter and use Thorn...and leave out Poison Ivy. At least with Roxy you can make the argument they actually are spotlighting slightly less prominent female Bat-Villain.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
