I was just wondering about this, since cartoons made by Cartoon Network Studios are going to other places, such as Adventure Time: Side Quests on Hulu, and Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars on Amazon Prime Video. We don’t know what they are also doing as well, or how many new original cartoons will be on Cartoon Network in the future. I don’t understand why they are calling it Cartoon Network Studios if they are now making cartoons for other places. My idea would be to follow the influence of the European studio, and rename the studio to Hanna-Barbera Studios (or Hanna-Barbera Studios America)

I’d say it should just be folded completely into Warner Bros. Animation.

Isn't Cartoon Network Studios already functionally a label of Warner Bros. Animation at this point? The unique Cartoon Network Studios building has been permanently shut down and no longer serves its original purpose, while Cartoon Network is headquartered in the exact same Warner Bros. Second Century building in Burbank as Warner Bros. Animation. Also, Sam Register heads both production companies, and they are both under the Warner Bros. Television Group that is led by Channing Dungey.

If anything, it's actually Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe that's the unique one. That studio, while also led by Sam Register and also part of WBTVG, is UK-based, and is more than capable of producing projects associated with both the CN and WB brands.

I was talking about the CNS label being gone for good. It’d be WBA from now on.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
