It actually wouldn't be the worst idea if Marvel and Star Wars toys appeared in the movie.
I think it would be better if they went with knockoffs/expies like they did with Combat Carl being a GI Joe knockoff. Having actual Marvel or SW toys would just make it look like a toy commercial.

That would be a Ralph Breaks the Internet scenario where the execs want to have these IP tie ins and it just takes me out of the movie. Product placement is honestly just unnecessary.

Also, there are probably some legal hurdles since Disney lets their own units operate separately. Not much brand synergy if there are some legal hurdles to overcome.

Behold, Bob Iger’s Magnum Opus.

He personally mandated this movie and I bet he will have a voice cameo like in Zootopia 2.

It should have Awkwafina and have Marvel and Star Wars product placement like Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Honestly, I thought that the trailer was pretty good. Even though I've still yet to watch Toy Story 4, the premise of the toys trying to get Bonnie's attention over technology is a pretty interesting one. There were some funny moments and I liked seeing the characters interacting again. I'm curious where it will go and I'll probably check it out at some point.

Getting legendary voice actors like Jeff Bergman and Anna Vocino as the Potato Heads is a big win

"It’s Time To Meet The Future: The Toy Story 5 Trailer Is Here"

"You can love it, you can hate it, but you can’t get around it: we’re getting a fifth Toy Story, and here’s the irrefutable proof. The full trailer for Toy Story 5 was released online this morning, confirming some plot details and resolving some lingering questions.

The biggest mystery was how Woody could be part of the cast even though he left at the end of Toy Story 4. I feared a careless rug sweep where he’d be there as the opening credits rolled and then mention offhand that Bo Peep was crushed by a semi. Thankfully, they went the logical route: he heard the other toys are in trouble and came to help.

They’re facing an existential threat unlike any other before: tablets. Bonnie just got Lilypad, a Leap Frog type device played by Greta Lee that quickly sucks up all her attention. Worse yet, Lilypad is freakishly possessive of Bonnie and won’t LET any toy near her. It’ll take more than just Woody and Buzz to resolve this dilemma…it’ll take Buzz, and Buzz, and Buzz again. The “army of defective Buzzes” rumored for months is glimpsed here charging into battle with a variety of makeshift weaponry."

I was hoped for Andy returns but it seems not, so I'm good with story about kids prefer to use electronic device instead of play with toys.

That is typical for kids who grew up in 21st century.

Back in beginning of 20th century, kids focus on toys and social interaction.

I'm late to the party, but this trailer is already looking better. Now we have an explanation as to why Woody is back, which was desperately needed. I seriously hope this film tops Toy Story 4 because boy was that ending frustrating (and now they're pulling an Uno reverse...AGAIN).

03/30:
Krys Marshall is part of the cast.
While character details and name are under wraps, Deadline can confirm Marshall will be voicing a grownup who will have to contend with her child’s newest hobby in a showdown of Toys vs. Tech; the fifth installment sees the iconic trio Buzz (Tim Allen), Woody (Tom Hanks) and Jessie (Joan Cusack) under threat when a new smart device, Lilypad (Greta Lee), takes over playtime.

This is certainly intriguing.

Should the movie have a Bob Iger cameo like with Zootopia? Should it feature MCU toys to cross promote Avengers: Doomsday? Star Wars toys? Synergy rules because “When it comes to the universe, we’re all shareholders.”

The movie should open with a Marvel Studios esque logo for Pixar. This is Bob Iger’s magnum opus.

Toy Story is already Pixar’s MCU.

DUDE, STOP IT, I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE,

sorry, just its just my anger from you acting if bob iger was still disney ceo, and I wouldn't be surprised if Star Wars toys made a appearance since pixar was founded by lucasfilm

Well, Pixar could be rebranded as Toy Story Studios and build their own cinematic universe to appease Disney shareholders.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Nicktoons in the US has recently aired something that no one expected: an AI generated ad for an overpriced plush toy.
Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
Woah yeah today is my Birthday!
