Welcome to the Television Presentation Thread, an off-shoot of the successful General International TV Channels Thread. Both U.S. and International television presentation can be posted here.
Television Presentation is an unappreciated and overlooked art, even though it improves the whole television viewing experience as it generates viewers' interest in the programming. This includes idents, banners, rebrands, on-screen graphics (DOGs), promos, announcements/continuity and title sequences. This thread is dedicated to the analysis and appreciation of broadcast design in all its forms. We encourage you to share examples, discuss the effectiveness of new (and old) branding, and explore the history of television presentation from across the globe. With the rise of streaming, it's slowly fading away as a lost art, hopefully this thread will help preserve it.
I think this thread will tie in quite nicely with The Drawing Board, as I can see a few "Mocks" have been made previously.
Here are a few resources that are helpful:
Audiovisual Identity Database (AVID) (U.S. and International)
The Ident Gallery (Mostly a UK Archive)
TVArk (UK Archive, especially for older presentation, and some U.S. too)
Lenodal (An extensive archive from France)
Behance (Some official TV presentation portfolios are posted there, but also mocks)
Vimeo (Some official TV presentation portfolios are posted there, but also mocks)
