"Milo Murphy's Law" News & Discussion Thread

It's kind of surprising (in a good way) that Weird Al Yankovic will play the lead role. I thought that since he's mainly a musician (who makes a second career out of voice acting) that he'd be too busy to play the lead role in a cartoon show. Anyway, this article I found shows more of the extended cast. To be specific

" Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World) and Mekai Curtis (Kirby Buckets) as Milo’s pals Melissa Chase and Zack Underwood. Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh will also voice pistachio protectors Vinnie Dakota and Balthazar Cavendish."

"Additional voices are provided by Christian Slater as the school crossing guard and Milo’s foe Elliot Decker, Vanessa Williams as Zack’s mom Eileen, Sarah Chalke as science teacher Mrs. Murawksi, Jemaine Clement as TV’s Dr. Zone, Mackenzie Phillips as Principal Milder, Chrissie Fit as classmate Amanda Lopez, Vincent Martella as classmate Bradley Nicholson, Diedrich Bader as Milo’s dad Martin, Pamela Adlon as his mom Brigette, Kate Micucci as his sister Sara, Dee Bradley Baker as his dog Diogee, Gregory Michael Cipes as classmate Mort Schaeffer, Michael Culross as high school teacher Kyle Drako and Kevin Michael Richardson as Coach Nolan Mitchell"

I have to think maybe "Get the lead role on a cartoon" was on his bucket list or something.

But anyway, liking that cast. So excited!

Weird Al shared the theme song on Twitter (which someone posted in another thread, probably not knowing about this one) and said that there's more news coming tomorrow.

@PhineasPines, this might interest you. I remember you saying you were worried that we haven't seen a single clip.

It does interest me! I can't wait to see whats to come:D

Ya sorry I forgot to post it in here n just made a new thread

After one of his albums finally reached #1 on the Billboard charts, it was probably the right time to find a new goal.

Here is Weird Al's tweet, and the opening sequence again for discussion in this thread:

OMG Ward and May are Time Travel Agents! Gah! Hurry up October!

Edit: So is Doctor Zone a parody of Doctor Who?

It looks great. I can't wait to see the first episode!
Also according to Kidscreen, each episode is 22 minutes. A departure from P&F's 11 minute format.

I'm not really sure if they meant that or just 22 minutes without the commercials (meaning 2 11 minute episodes). If episodes are 22 minutes, I certainly wasn't expecting that.

Looks interesting. I can see this possibly surpassing two seasons like Phineas and Ferb.

I know it's a month wait - but still, I'm looking forward to seeing how much better this show can be than Phineas & Ferb ever was for me... The opening theme give me some confidence, I'll admit.

I find it very hard to be hyped for this. I really didn't like Phineas and Ferb.

Maybe Dan and Swampy are doing the same thing !!?

I hope it's equally good as the duo's previous show Phineas and Ferb because that show was amazing and Milo Murphy's Law looks interesting.

I'm still a little amazed that Weird Al will be able to fully commit to this show not as a guest star, nor just as an occurring role, but as the protagonist. That by itself is pretty neat, and it makes a ton of sense once you remember he's on Disney's payroll now.

The intro has already got me hooked. Admittedly, it will take some adjustment hearing Weird Al's voice coming out of a teenage boy, but then again he sounds exactly the same as he did 30 years ago so I can overlook that. The only character design reminiscent of Phineas and Ferb so far is the dog, which is a good sign. I believe Disney XD is going to give a sneak preview of the pilot in September on their YouTube page, so I look forward to it.

First Promo!!!! Yep, this is going to be awesome!

And Norway's unbeaten streak over Brazil continues thanks to their 2-1 victory that led them qualified to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals (second round, first round is the round of 16) tonight.
Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
