I am annoyed at Artemis and Robin taking those apparent lightning attacks for so long and getting up again like nothing happened. Im like "come on !".

These episodes all ending with "the light, everything's going according to plan muhuhahahaha" is getting old real fast.

I agree though to be fair it actually made sense in this episode. Given the clearly fake (To the audience) Light used to trick the heroes into thinking they won. This time the light needed to fail to win.

Klarion is the OTHER memeber of the light? How did we all miss THAT little twerp? Though it does make sense to have someone VERY familiar with sorcery on The Light, to round them out more. Thought it does take away a little bit of the uniqueness of Denial in that we all thought no light shenanigans were going on then.
Speaking of Denial, great to see Dr. Fate back. But I wanted to see Artemis's reaction towards Wally after all he said to "Dr. Fate", and especially after everything they said to each other in the end of that episode.

And what do you know, All The LIght Members are revealed.:
Vandal Savage
Lex Luthor
Ra's Al Ghul
Queen Bee
Ocean Master
The Brain
Klarion

Revelations, indeed.

Also did anyone else get the vibe that the VA for the Joker was trying to channel Heath Ledger?

I'm disappointed robin and the joker didn't banter
I wanted to see their personalities clash

Not bad, not bad. I love Joker's design. It's a shame Spiner doesn't have as much experience in voice acting, though.

According to Wiki that was Brent Spiner as Joker. I can see that as that would be another Gargoyles (and Star trek) cast member with a role. I was not that impressed with joker's voice though.

Now *that* was a true game-changer in every sense of the word. Marvelous, marvelous stuff.

-I am again duly impressed by the character bits tossed in amongst the action: Kid Flash and Artemis' burgeoning chemistry, Superboy's continuing hilarious hatred of monkeys, Aqualad's casual reference to Kent Nelson, etc.

-I rather loved the creepier, thinner Joker design, and Brent Spiner was totally unexpected as the voice. I thought he did an excellent job myself.

-I couldn't pick out who did Zatara, Wotan, or Poison Ivy.

-Lots of great silent cameos this week, especially Guy Gardner and Plastic Man.

-I have a feeling that this will be the last Light ending, especially since it's such a big reveal. And we finally find out who Miguel Ferrer has been playing all this time: Vandal Savage! Love the "elegant caveman" design they have for him.

-I'm guessing Red Arrow is only fighting alongside GA out of convenience since they probably want to save the reconciliation for an onscreen bit.

And with that, the second half of the season begins with a vengeance.

Eh, didn't much care for this joker... though one thing that doesn't help him is the fact that any joker will inevitably be compared to Mark Hammil. As good as voices may get, its always the laugh that keeps hammil above the rest. Though I think they could have also done better with the dialogue for this joker; it just seems like he didn't really stand out all that much.

Overall a very good episode. I supposed my only minor complaint might be that the young heroes were doing just a tad bit too well towards the end. Afterall the villians they were dealing with were not team of second stringers, but a team of big time villians who normally take on big time heroes... in an even fight, I'd expect the villians to win. Would have prefered if Doctor fate had a bigger role in evening out the fight than just getting in a surprise reversal and then just taking on one of the villains. Have the younger heroes loose with only the leauge being the one who saves them rather than them managing to hold their own.

Also we finally get a reveal of the light's true line up.

Tonight's episode features one of the many different evil counterparts of the Justice League...the Injustice League/Gang!

*The episode kicks off with an attack from killer plants! No doubt Poison Ivy's handy work!

*Yep, she's one of the Injustice Gang/League's members! Count Vertigo appears to be the "leader" and other members include Ultra Humanite, Atomic Skull, Black Atom, Lo-Tang and last, but definitely not least, Joker, who makes his first "official" appearance in the show (if you've read or heard about Volumes 1 & 2 of the tie-in comics, then you know what I mean by "official appearance")!

*I can't tell who voices Joker here, but who ever he is does a really good imitation of (the tragically late) Heath Ledger.

*Robin and Aqualad figure out Superboy and Miss Martian are an item (though the latter expected as much), they wisely decide it isn't their place to tell Kid Flash or Artemis. Ah, so Zattara (who briefly appeared inIndependence Day and Fireworks) will be this episode's "den mother". Captain Marvel continues to be hilarious!

*Very clever how the team has mistaken the Injustice League/Gang for being the masterminds, the Light remains hidden to the public.

*Zattara questions Batman's decision to have the team go after the Injustice League/Gang. If memory serves me right, Greg confirmed that a later episode will touch up on this subject in greater detail.

*Cool, Wolf's coming along! We get to see the Bio-Ship "feeling illness"...

*Aww, Artemis shows she does care about Kid Flash.

*Robin and Miss Martian manage to escape! It's up to them to save the day!

*We get to see the Justice League attack the killer plants! I'm unsure of who Flash and Captain Atom's partner was. Good to see Red Arrow helping out!

*Uh oh, Poison Ivy and Ultra Humanite got the two of them! I'm beginning to wonder if the latter and Grodd can talk in this adaptation or not.

*Aqualad sounds pretty ticked at Lo-Tang. Hmm...

*The other 4 are free...but have no weapons! I admit, Artemis' "not in a fun way" remark cracked me up.

*Holy crap! Aqualad brought the Helmet of Fate! I admit, I didn't see that coming! That's one epic magic showdown!

*Joker continues to demonstrate his mastery of dark humor. Yep, this guy's performance reminds me a lot of Ledger's, not that I'm complaining, mind you.

*We see yet another Crowning Moment of Heart Warming between Kid Flash and Artemis. All together now, "Aww"!

*The Justice League manage to arrive...and Joker attempts to gas them...and then Aqualad/Dr. Fate saves them and keeps the bad guys from escaping! I was at the edge of my seat!

*Woah, Aqualad managed to get free! Good old Kent Nelson pulled some strings yet again!

*Holy [REMOVED]! All 7 members of the Light have been revealed! They are (in order of numerical rank): Vandal Savage, Ra's Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Ocean Master, Brain and Kalrion the Witch Boy! I admit, I didn't see Kalrion as the 7th member coming! But I think it's safe to say we all figured out the other 6. What will be the Light's next course of action now that our heroes' guard has been let down?

Very exciting episode! This is one is currently my favorite, but who knows if it will keep that position with 12 episodes of the Season left to air! Bring on the next episode!

The Puck (Gargoyles) himself voiced The Joker!?:D That just made this episode and The Joker even cooler!

So does the JLA have a reserve roster in this show? I'm wondering, because except for Icon and Rocket, all of the heroes who showed up to help were members of some incarnation of the League.

Guy was part of the Justice League International, Plastic Man was part of the Morrison JLA, and Blue Devil was part of Justice League Europe.

Well wiki is not always trustworthy so it could be wrong. I'm sure someone will post an image from the voice credits eventually that gives us the voice actor. However I do think it's possible.

It was confirmed by a TV Guide report on this episode, alongside Alyssa Milano (sp?) as Poison Ivy.

WHAAAAAAT!!!??

3 Green Lanterns in one planet??!!!

Anyways,

VERY EPIC!!! I thought Zatarra was going to die on this one since his daughter will be on next episode.

Is there any doubt that this is the best new series.

Ok that's good.

Alyssa Milano? Well, she did work with voice and casting director Jamie Thomason on the DC Showcase Spectre short, but I was nonetheless pleasantly surprised by her excellent work here.

This was fantastic. Easily the best action so far for this series, and one of the best episodes at that. Aqualad using Dr. Fate's helmet as a trump card was a genius twist that I didn't see coming at all.

Good luck to the posters of the character count thread accounting for all the characters that showed up in this one, good lord. I know I don't recognize them all. So much great action from the team, the Justice League and the greater superhero community at that.

Didn't think we'd see The Light revealed all at once like that either. One definitely gets the sense things are ramping up now.

More commentary later maybe, for now I'm too busy being impressed to analyze this thing much. Clearly I need to see it again! ;)

Just imagine what 25 and 26 are going to be like.....

Gotta say, I love how they weren't hindered by casting budgets and used multiple characters. Not everyone needs to speak. A twenty-plus man army of superheroes is great to see.

I was suprised to see Guy Gardner! Without his trademark bowl haircut, I almost didn't recognize him.

Ditto Blue Devil.

Didn't like Poison Ivy's design and Alyssa Milano made her sound a bit like a sullen teenager.

I liked Joker's new look, but the voice didn't suit me. I did like his one line about wanting to "Carve up this bird" when referring to his confrontation with Robin.

More distractions now that the JL thinks the Injustice League was behind the recent shennanigans. Didn't expect to see Klarion as one of The Light, though.

When Zatara called Batman on the danger of sending the YJ gang to go after the Injustice League, I felt sure by episode's end, Batman would have said, "I did WHAT?" Leading us to believe an imposter had actually sent the kids on that mission. Apparently not.

Definitely anticlimactic that Aqualad got to remove the helmet. I agree with the earlier post that we could have had an episode in which the gang tries to get him free or perhaps it would have been a way for Aqualad to be replaced without dying. At least Kent Nelson got a mention. I can't imagine what he promised Nabu this time.

That may have been Brent Spiner as the voice of The Joker, but if someone denies that Crispin Glover was the face of The Joker, I won't ever believe them. I definitely think Glover was an inspiration for that design. Especially since he was the fan-favorite pick to play the character before Heath Ledger was cast in Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight.

But I did like Joker's design and voice.

Great episode overall. Lots of cameos. I was a bit disappointed Ultra-Humanite didn't talk at all. But I loved Aqualad becoming Fate. I'm not a huge fan of magic-based characters, but man, I love Dr. Fate. He's just cool!

I enjoyed this episode, however, I found the Joker to be really boring. He wasn't crazy enough, he wasn't having enough fun, and the voice simply doesn't suit his character.

Here's a fun article I wrote on why Ruby and Jade from Sofia The First are good characters.
Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
