Bleach 422+ Current Manga Discussion (Spoilers)

Well probably at some point in the next arc in the manga, someone will be kidnapped and need rescuing.

I really do hope Tite doesn't do another rescue arc. I was fine with it happening again for the Arrancar arc, but a third time would just make it obvious enough to start stating at how predictable the series can be.

they should just end this manga it's obvisous that Tite Kubo is bored with this
thing
the last few chapters have been lackluster at best

Kubo's already said he's got another ten years in him. I'd say it's likelier he's under editorial pressure to speed things up again, which is a shame. The Ginjou fight could've lasted another two or three chapters without dragging.

Yeah,I feel like the pacing for the last few chapters has been too fast,if anything...The Ichigo X Ginjou fight should've lasted longer (and it would've been nice to see Hollow Ichigo again),and it felt like Ginjou went down too easily (especially since Tsukushima was actually run through by Byakuya and still managed to be moving around just fine for awhile)....
Also,it felt a bit off that...

1) We didn't get even a glimpse of a flashback for Tsukushima and Ginjou after the previous chapter hinted at one (with it ending on young Tsukushima being comforted by Ginjou as a Shinigami)...yeah,we'll probably get one later on,but still...

2) It basically just cuts to what happened after Tsukushima attempted to stab Ichigo for killing Ginjou(and Riruka, still inside Rukia, stops him),and half the main cast doesn't even appear in the chapter....I guess Uryu and Renji could've been out searching for the remaining Fullbringers (or Renji could've had to go back to Soul Society, though I doubt he'd want to leave without Rukia, especially considering what she's been through in the last couple of chapters),but I feel like Chad at least should've still been at Urahara's (since he was under the same memory manipulation as Orihime, and also passed out with her)...

Anyway,I feel like this arc was decent, there were some things that could've been better (I would've appreciated Chad and Orihime getting their chance to fight the memory manipulation and break it,rather than having breakdowns and getting taken out),but it wasn't that bad (I did end up liking some of the Fullbringers, namely Riruka,Jackie, and Shishigawara, and I liked the new looks for the Shinigami, especially Renji and Rukia)...

As for the next storyline,I'm not sure...I think I'd be happy as long as it's not another "rescue" arc (two were enough,Kubo)...I'd really love to learn about Isshin's past...

Pretty much this. Seeing "Death and the Strawberry 2" being titled when Ichigo got his powers again, I think we got at least two major big arcs before the series is considered over.

....The final arc will probably share the exact same length as the Arrancar arc to boot. Well, depending on if Kubo is really being pressured to hurry things up or not.

New chapter:

Ichigo goes to Soul Society to request burying Ginjou in the real world
2 of the Vizards are Captains again
3 week break after this chapter, wth.

Not a bad end to the arc....

Looks like Kensei and Shinji are Captains again (I'm willing to bet the other open Captain position was taken by another Vaizard/Visored as well)...
Looks like noone else really changed in appearance during the timeskip,at least from what I can tell/the characters who appeared
Ichigo asking for Ginjou's body back from the head Captain was surprising...I honestly thought that when he went to Soul Society,he'd be asking what they know about his father....and Ukitake knows for sure that Ichigo trusts Soul Society...
and Riruka leaves the group, with the chapter ending on her thanking Ichigo,Chad, and Orihime, and thinking they'd be better off not remembering her before disappearing...I wish she'd decided to stay, but whatever....

No new chapters for three weeks after this?!....Well,even manga artists need breaks,it can't be easy to have to come up with a new chapter every week, even with assistants.....

What a chapter, even without any battles, just the reveals makes up for it. The Vizzards are back in the Soul Society. I guess we know what they meant by Ichigo changed the Soul Society. I want to know the ranks of the new Goteti 13. I think we know who are the captains of squad 5 and 9. But who is captain of squad 3, though I think we know who it is, and who are the vice captains? Did some people get demoted.

I like that Ichigo still tries to understand how Ginjou might have felt, and shown respect for his body, so this pretty much confirms he is dead.

I am disappointed to see Riruka go, and I doubt she killed herself. Just look at the other FBs and who survived and who is dead. Only the ones that are really unredemable died. At least Nel has her brothers, Riruka is all alone now.

Wait, Tite Kubo...you seriously didn't add Riruka to the main cast? Are you kidding me..?

Oh the disappointments..

But then again, she might end up returning later on. I wouldn't be surprised if she just secretly stalks Ichigo here on out.

Kurotsuchi's probably tinkering with Ginjou's body as it is, anyhow. :p

Argh, three week break. Damn.

EDIT: The other Visored Commander is Rose, by the way.

A few reveals about what two of the vizards are doing, with Shinji and Kensei as Captains again, and Riruka leaving, but beyond that nothing much.

I did like Renji's reaction when he realized Ichigo was there.:D

I thought this chapter was pretty good.

Still feels like we need more information about Ginjou though. Like more on his past and dissatisfaction with the Soul Society for this to mean more. I did like Ichigo going all the way to Soul Society and just demanding the body back on the grounds he is just a subsistute shinigami and thus shouldn't be buried on Soul Society. Saying pretty much "he's human so let his body go where other humans belong". And yeah also liked seeing the Vizards come back as captains and Shinji pretty much shutting up Soi Fong's rantings. I think the ending with Rirukia though felt a bit too brief: I could understand why she wanted to leave but I don't know felt like it needed a couple more pages to get a better effect. And I guess she'll join the still alive Espada (Nel, Harribel and Grimmjow) as characters who are still around but we probably won't really see for awhile if ever again. And yeah seems like this is a definite end of the Ginjou arc which really could of been a lot better as no matter what people said this still did a bad job of actually finishing any of the interesting deveolopment Orihime, Chad and Uryu were getting as well as trying to have more personal villians but only getting us to minorly connect with them. Let's hope for better though in the next arc which will be... who knows really but let's hope that development for others BESIDES Ichigo actually happens this time around and it's not just another tease and forgotten like so much else of what Kubo's done.

Do I like the chapter? So-so. Honestly, I'm finding it a bit hard to enjoy Bleach these days considering the last few chapters and then it's the constant waiting for answers that should've been answered a long time ago.

Anyway, I saw Shinji, Kensei, and Rose, so I'm assuming 3, 5, and 9 are now filled, although I really don't care at this point, but I'm also going to assume that some VC's were demoted, IF the remainder of the vizards are there.

I literally squeed when Kensei showed up. :D I'm just glad that Kubo proved he can still pull a surprise when he wants to.

As for the chapter itself. I loved how Ichigo stepped on Yama's lawn and gave him three messages in one: 1) He can now open the gate and walk into Soul Society whenever he wants and he doesn't care if they like it or not. 2) He's a substitute, he is not part of their command structure, but he is still willing to work with them. 3) Ginjou was their fault, what Ginjou did to Ichigo's friends and family is by extension Soul Society's fault, and Soul Society does not have the right to judge Ginjou or decide what to do with his remains.

Now that Kubo's got a three week break I seriously hope he uses it and plans ahead for the series' future.

So according to the Jump Festa 2012 info:

*Kubo still plans to continue bleach for [at least] 10 years. He's got the next 2 arcs planned.
*Aizen is going to reappear in the next arc.
*Ginjou's and Tsukishima's past will reveal important information about the shinigami and soul society.
*There's going to be a new nakama.
*Kubo said again that Ulquiorra [turning to ashes] has been the most impactful scene to the fans. Though he wants to apologize to the fans for not drawing Grimmjow's dying scene.
*Urahara's shady nature will unfold.
*He wants to reassure the fans that Yoruichi is fine.

I'm not sure if any of this has been confirmed. But if it has, I'm seriously going to ignore this series' existence for...a while.

Aizen?!?!?!

Please oh please be a cameo. This story really won't benefit from him being a recurring villain.

I'm still seeing much more apparent Soul Society focus than I would like. But perhaps the new friend will add something to Ichigo's inner circle & bring more out of the others.

Eh, I could take some Aizen. If only for Hayami Shou. :p Although, I was very intrigued by his speech as he was being seal. I think there's still a mile that can be walked with Aizen. Obviously we don't know his entire past. While I do believe he's the glorious, magnificent bastard he's pretty much always been, I think it would be fascinating to see how he came to be that way. What truly inspired his god complex and sent him down his path.

*Kubo still plans to continue bleach for [at least] 10 years. He's got the next 2 arcs planned.
Will Bleach even last another 10 years? It's good to see he's got the next 2 arcs planned, but, well, we'll just have to see I suppose.

*Aizen is going to reappear in the next arc.
I don't have much of an issue here.

*Ginjou's and Tsukishima's past will reveal important information about the shinigami and soul society.
How long do will it take to get that information?

*There's going to be a new nakama.
Not something I particularly care about.

*Kubo said again that Ulquiorra [turning to ashes] has been the most impactful scene to the fans. Though he wants to apologize to the fans for not drawing Grimmjow's dying scene.
So all talk about Grimmjow being alive can finally be put to rest. Fantabulous.

*Urahara's shady nature will unfold.
Again, how long will it take to get there?

*He wants to reassure the fans that Yoruichi is fine.
Okay....

So according to the Jump Festa 2012 info:

*Aizen is going to reappear in the next arc.

Isn't he presently locked in the deepest part of Soul Society's prison? Or *le gasp* has he since broken out?

Wouldn't be suprised if he did. Aizen's just too... Aizen, I'd be shocked if he hadn't planned a prison breakout.

Grimmjow died off-screen? I've been waiting five or so years for this guy to return only to find out he bought it back in the middle of the Hueco Mundo arc? Oh jeez.

Kubo... you would have just done better to never address the question if this is the best you can come up with. Some people actually want you to do something cool with these characters, instead of just putting them on a bus to hell because you can't keep control over your own story. In lieu of that, just let the fans come up with their own ideas. At this point, the fanfics are almost impossible to distinguish from the real deal.
