"Scooby-Doo - Mystery, Inc." News & Discussion Thread

I am sure they have thought beyond S1

I think the show received an automatic 2 season commitment (some sources say three seasons) but I agree, the creative team has been working on where to take the show once this season's pentultimate mystery is solved.

If the Scoobies are in their senior yr then that means we could have them on the road for S2 solving mysteries. Either way, there are always plenty of mysteries to solve and charecter development to be had.

We know the gang aren't seniors due to the exposition from "Song Of Mystery", in which Fred's pint sized tutor WAS a senior. They are either sophmores or juniors. That's assuming that time will flow in this series to allow them to move towards graduation - as opposed to Bart Simpson who's been in the 4th grade for over 20 years!

Hopefully if the show lasts long enough, we'll see the story right up to their break-up of the gang (something alluded to but never shown in any medium).

I'd love to see them meet the "real" Vincent Van Ghoul and have him be some washed-up actor who gets pulled into one of their adventures...something like Roddy McDowell in the old FRIGHT NIGHT flick (which is being remade with David Tennant of DOCTOR WHO fame in McDowell's role).

lol and i thought i was the only one that was thinking Fright Night, Would be nice to see Shaggy and Scooby trying to contact Vincent Van Ghoul to help them yet he turns out he's just an actor but in the last moment he tries to act heroic.

I can totally see this! I wouldn't be surprised if this does happen; or perhaps they go to meet him at the Scoobyverse equivalent of Comic Con.

Scooby-Snacks ?

So, are we going to see Sooby Snacks in this Show ? In the Crystal Cove Online Game they give Scooby Doo Scooby Snacks, but I havn't seen them in the show.

That would be pretty cool, if they did that. I think it could work, say if there was a mystery going on one of his sets, or he cam to Crystal Cove to shoot a movie. And some how, some way the gang got involved in there too.

Also very cool about David Tennant being in the new Fright Night. I did not know that.

Possibly. They do go hand in hand with the show.

I think that will work well, i can pic Vincent Van Ghoul want to gain more ratings and hears about Cristal Cove thinking that a real curse will bring alot of attention on his show.

Yeah him and Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing evil ed, still not sure if Las Vegas its a good choice for Fright Night to take place, hopefully they don't turned into a twilight like garbage remake.

Sorry if i'm being off topic here.

That would be nice but doubt it will happen unless they go with normal time and are on for about 5 seasons, though I still doubt they would do that (even though we know they would reform)

I wonder if Scrappy-Doo will make an appearance.

Wondering the same thing, I actually would like to see him now.

Do you guys honestly want to see Scrappy Doo in the series? Not that i hate the pup but come on what will he do? He will do the same "let me at him, let me at him" I don't think the guys behind Mystery Inc. will do the same mistakes as to add scrappy or any other relative of Scooby unless its a cameo but that's it. I mean seriously Scrappy was an excuse so that Scooby gets more audience because they think a cute lovable sidekick will work wonders for ratings......that's what happened to the Real Ghostbusters giving Slimer his own short episodes and the center of attention than the Ghostbusters.

Im not saying bring him in full time. Having him guest star for an episode wouldnt be bad. And I am interested in how they would handle him.

I'd rather see Yabba-Doo than either of them. I think he is the coolest of Scooby's relatives.

Yabba-Doo? I have no clue who that is at all. Lol. To be fair, a lot of this older Doo does go over my head, since I was a big Scooby fan as a kid. I watched the "Where Are You?" and "The 13 Ghosts" mostly.

I think the character designs bite cheese and the CGI effects are too obvious and poorly incorporated.

The characters, themselves, are nicely in depth and it's great to see things developed which were only touched upon in movies and such (the Freddie/Dalphnie relationship FE). However, like all incarnations of Scooby Doo this will probably not last more then a couple of years. Remember 'What's New?', easily more attractive in character design and far more memorable a theme song. ;)

I like the character designs of the characters and the CGI effects are not bad.

To be honest i like that art style alot more than What's new Scooby-Doo, kinda felt the past show was too colorful and the monsters where not that scary. Mystery Inc. has this nice dark atmosphere, remind me of Zombie Island and the Witche's ghost.

I'm hoping this series would last at least 65 episodes and that the last episode shows the breakup of Mystery Incorporated.

I wouldn't mind seeing Scrappy but I rather see him or any other Doo relative on the DTV's (which features the more traditional Scooby-Doo style) than on Mystery Incorporated.

Yeah, so does anyone know when the sow's going to take a break ?

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
