The General "Computer Issues" Thread

I'm going to try this, my computer is getting unmanageable with all of the endless adds, it runs slowly, and now I can't get my iPhone to sync with iTunes for some reason, the whole computer is now a mess for some reason. Is this program free? PS: Is there any way to zoom out on photos in the new iOS? I want to set one up as my wallpaper, but every time I zoom out, it tightens back up.

Yes, it's free.

I can't figure the iOS photo deal out either.

I'll download it and use it then, thank you. I've been on Apple's support website, it sounds like it's something they messed up in iOS 7. Why they continue to insist upon fixing things which aren't broken, I'll never know. How do you take a screencap off of a PC, I'm still having trouble with my e-mail, I'll show how it looks.

I downloaded that anti-malware program, but it seems like without the paid version, all it does is scan it and not remove anything. When I try to quick reply here at Toonzone, my browser warns me that I'm leaving the page and then take me to the full reply and deletes whatever I put there. My e-mail still has this weird overlap effect, I'll take a screenshot with the aforementioned technique soon. I still can't get Firefox the search bar back to Google, and my iPhone is still sticking on the final sync step. The party never stops :p.

No, Malwarebytes will remove Malware without the paid version. The paid version is just the pro version with extra features.

I ran it, it listed a bunch of things it discovered, but I didn't see the option to delete them. I tried to activate it, but they're asking for a product code and I was never emailed one.

Ugh, I wish I could come over to your house. I'd get this sorted. :) Are you sure you downloaded Malwarebytes?

I did and I got rid of all of the stuff. Still can't usually get Firefox to open, and when it does, that overlap effect is still messing up my email screen. I'll take a screencap soon.

Remove Firefox through Add and Remove Programs in the control panel and then reinstall it, maybe that will help. If you don't have another web browser to download Firefox with, put the installer on your machine before you remove Firefox.

I'm thinking about purchasing this:
Adobe Creative suite 4 design PC
Does this seem legit enough for me to bother to drive out, meet this person in public, try to install it on my laptop, and pay him/her the money if it works on my computer?

Ask the seller if the software has been activated before.
If it has, make sure they deactivate the software and uninstall it from whatever machine they used it on before.
Or else you will not be able to use it if Adobe's servers show it as still activated on another machine.
See if you can install and activate it successfully before you give them any money.

I'm having trouble with files showing up when I save a file to a folder or upload a file from a folder.

If i want to save an image, video, etc, I go to the folder I want to save it in but none of my files already in that folder show up. All my files are there if I access my folder. If I try to upload a file from a folder into an email or Windows movie maker, the folders show up, but none of the files come up to be selected to upload.

I'm also not getting any thumbnails for my video files either when I go to the folders they are stored in. Any helpful hints? I'm hoping I'm not going to have to download something to fix these problems.

I have a question about file formats for videos. You know how .jpg is the "standard" format for pictures? What's the standard format for videos? I thought it was a .mov, but the guy I sent the file to said he can't play the video because he keeps getting an error message that says he doesn't have the software to play that extension, even though he downloaded Quicktime and VLC.

I think today it's .mp4, though there are different ways of encoding that. Most of my files are .mp4 encoded through Handbrake and work in both VLC and itunes.

My digital camera records in .avi, an older format that tends to be recognized by most software, but Apple won't play it.

My Windows account used one central user, so when I powered up the computer, it just kicked onto Windows Explorer. Now the one user is locked for some reason, and I have to click on it to open it. It's not a huge deal, but it's kind of annoying, anyone know a way to fix it?

And Norway's unbeaten streak over Brazil continues thanks to their 2-1 victory that led them qualified to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals (second round, first round is the round of 16) tonight.
Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
