Digital Domain to Open Animation and VFX Studio in Abu Dhabi

The Los Angeles Times reports that Digital Domain is set to open a new 150,000 square-foot production office in Abu Dhabi in 2015, dedicated to producing English- and Arabic-language animated movies for Middle Eastern audiences, as well as visual and 3-D effects. The project is a partnership with the Abu Dhabi-government backed media company twofour54, with estimates projecting a staff of 500 and a cost of more than $50 million.
