A limber old man and his gigantic feline frolic about during a journey to lands unknown. When elderly fellow befriends a spirit, the abnormally large cat’s jealous side inadvertently causes his untimely demise. It’s a little dark and would have still been worth a look without the happy ending.
I really love Ian Worrell’s style. The old man is adorable and the cat is quite large. What’s not to like? The animation in this short is a little rough, but that’s part of its charm. It works here and gives is a slightly more organic feel. The music is incredibly soothing.
